There is no doubt in saying that, music has been as a medium of political expressions from ages. The connection between music and politics is being seen high in number, in many cultures. On the persistent term, music does have a strong influence on the political rituals and movements. However, it creates confusion for the general audience to how to or if in what intelligence, music should be occupied on a political level. Since music has the power to impact the listeners on both anti-establishment and pro-establishment level in terms of topical songs such as; patriotic songs, political campaigns and national anthems.
Music can easily be used to in terms of portraying any political message, consisting positive/negative criteria. Moreover, music is such a thing, which is heard by almost everyone around the world by skipping watching the new or reading the newspapers. England is one of the countries, where music has been the major contradiction in association with the politics. It is a country which brought in some important and unique musical trend and movements, on the face of the earth. Some of the best is originated from England.
The British politics and industry have proclaimed sturdily against the music involvement in the politics. According to them, the musicians have no such right to just stand up and convey their opinions through singing against politics. Numerous of the musicians have claimed the fact that if it is right for the politicians to use music in grabbing voters at the times of elections or in some protests, then how it can be wrong to exercise music in conveying the personal criticism on politics. On the apathy and cynicism of politicians, the famous singers of UK, “The Makers Jon McClure” and “Reverend” declared to quit music (Lindvall, 2008) The pop/rock music bands are forefront in this race in relation to the politics.
Basically, youth music can become a signature of social change. There are some forms or music which can be considered political either by cultural association, which can be regardless to the political content. There are laws which are passed in England, against music. The relationship of England music with politics has been highlighted since, 1970s. The musicians sparked music in every area blaming the politicians with the help of lyrical enforcement. The unemployment, racism, police violence, political injustice etc.
no area was left by the musicians to combine with. Nazi (anti-Nazi league) and Punk Rocks (anti-fascist politics) are the bands, who joint against the political movements. There leagues, Rock against Racism (RAR) and Anti-Nazi league (ANL) were credited for the abolishment of UK government, and stood out as the appreciable political force. It is very complex to argue how the audience will react against some political music. It can go in politics favor or not. There is always a connection between music taste and behavior.
