Willow Weep for Me Art Tatum plays Jazz music. Tatum starts the first chorus containing the melody after an introduction at 00:10 and ends at 01:27. The first chorus has three sections. The first section (A), second section (B) and third section (C). Every section has two bars. The melody played by Tatum is a solo a masterpiece. The chorus varies in different sections throughout the music but not as significant as the audience could imagine. He does not play the melody plainly from the beginning to the last point.

There is a distinct pattern in frequency and tonal variation employed in the melody such that it exposes a sense of sooth rather than irritation and boredom. Between 00:10 and 01:27, Tatum employs the use of repetition of the melodic tones at intervals. He changes the tones of the melody and repeats it, two to three times (Tatum 1).Generally, the melody seems to be fully composed of tonal repetition and modal variation of the jazz beats. The audience would not resist the soothing mix of frequencies but rather incline to the tune.

The chorus for the entire melody remains unchanged throughout the play session. The melody tones go round in cyclic modes and virtually coming back to the point of repeating the veiled chorus. From an analysis of the melody, one can ascertain a difference between the first eight seconds and the last eight seconds from the rest of the melody. An audience can clearly feel the start and the end of the melody due to the rising and lowering tone and frequency.Work CitedTatum, Art. Willow Weep for Me.
