Throughout then, Jazz music has influenced the masses and it has emerged in all parts of the world. African Americans basically introduced this form of music in the 20th century. This form is also known as the duet of European and African music forms. After its commencement into the music industry, different musicians of the world added various numerations to it so that it would be more delightful and enjoyable. The purpose of this paper is to signify the radical changes that have been made to Jazz music through its inception till date. How this field emerged and what momentous impact this has brought to the society. It also discusses the essential diversification in various counties, development phase in Africa and the modern jazz conception these days. The paper does not discuss only the historic perspective but it gives a horizon to grasp the real essence of jazz music. Origination The origins of jazz music inception can be tracked down into the year 1808 when a large majority of slaves came to United States. These slaves brought their cultural norms, traditions and values into America and mystical music form was one of it. They observed the scenario prevailing in United States regarding music and for cultural collision; they developed a unique and prestigious form of music. This form of music was widely accepted among the masses due to its elegant tone and melody. People were easily able to grasp the true spirit of this music. This was a big success by the African immigrants (Thompson, p.29). The duet of African, European and American music was the real innovative thing brought from this music. African slaves visited festivals of America to explore the culture and traditions of the region. They were able to impress the audience through dance and their music compositions. Learning was the first phase which slaves took it seriously. The harmonic arrangement of church tones and the musical compositions of American culture astonished Africans. Heterophony was the first originated musical symphony created by the slaves at that time which was the first revolutionary step (Blesh, p.43). (Thompson, p.36) illustrates that the origin of African-American music thus laid its foundation in the southern part of America. Expressions, rhythm and tone of Jazz were simply amazing and different from the usual music trivia. The concept propagated by this musical masterpiece created an illusion in American minds and this was brought in the mainstream music industry soon. This music made headlines in the world music industry by then and massive development in this form took place. The Blend It was the exclusive blend which made the difference. The additional dance factor by the African slaves gave it a competitive edge among the other forms of music. Africans are basically good in creating musical themes and famous for their delicate dance performances. They created their entire new entity by deploying this exclusive form of music. Spanish invasion in this form of music made it special and extraordinary. The tremendous amount of Spanish cultural entities was highly inspired by Jazz. Their initial plan was to collide Spanish music with Jazz. This brought an exceptional change in the music field (Peretti, p.38). The eradication of slavery gave a vision to the African Americans. They stepped into performing arts industry specially. Music, arts and dance were the three primary fields in which Africans invasion brought remarkable results. The musical instruments such as drums, piano and guitars were making a huge impact on this form. Thus the ultra social music body creation was a gift which Africans gave to the American industry. Applause from around the world was cherished by them and they made sure that further development would take place in this field (Hobson, p.55). (Anderson, p.61) states that renowned names emerged in that era such as Scott Joplin, whose services for the flourishment of this industry is astonishing. His pianist themes were the blending thing which created a harmonic symphony among the masses. Huge reception all over the America was seen. Popular rags such as The Entertainer were solely the formation of Joplin’s mastermind. Jazz was given its proper name and by then, the voice of Jazz was captioning the music industry. Mystical Themes The themes of jazz are exceptional as they created as extraordinary environment in the music field. Blues is primarily the most recognized jazz mystical theme which was a great invention by the African-American industry. The origin of this form took place in the south of America. Blues is the backbone of Jazz music as this has significant importance. The first adoption by artists was eventually blue. The pronounced African traits were visible in this form of Music. The blues notes were played by professional blues players as this was not an easy task at all. The New Orleans music gives a new vision to Jazz field. The main usage of this music category was in the red light areas which eventually expanded in the later years. The theme and symphony created was dominant and prestigious. It got acceptance in the initial days of jazz music but later on it was dragged from the mainstream jazz beats. The New Orleans Jazz was only dominant among the black people. It targeted a few segment of the society but it actually became the modern base for the progression of Jazz music in the country. The northern and western parts of United States came under the influence of jazz due to this musical form (Ake, p.113). The band of New Orleans emerged in the northern and western parts too which started making changes in the theme. New experimentation and blending of music was the primary concern of the musicians. The blending process however came under the jazz music boundaries. Awareness programs understanding through this form of music became which was a good step at that specific time. The conception of Swing, a form of New Orleans jazz came into existence. Research analysts define this musical form as the momentous mystical theme of the jazz music. An overwhelming audience response was recorded by this form inauguration (Mellers, p.82). The Cross Rhythm The rhythm and theme of Jazz did not just remained in the United States, Europeans adopted this music quickly and France was the country where it landed first. Swing, gypsy jazz was the main Jazz forms cherished there. Belgium also adopted the jazz theme and there music industry flourished by implementing this music into the mainstream industry. Sooner after United Kingdom became the country of Jazz music. The development in Europe was not that superlative as in United States but still France was the country where it had a great supremacy (Whyton, p.118). (Martin, p.137) demonstrates that in Europe even, Africans were the force behind creating this musical tone. The engraved behaviour in their minds was an additive advantage so those Africans which were in the music field easily created jazz melodies. The cross rhythmic effect got huge applause in Europe which demonstrated that Jazz acceptability in Europe will be delightful. African musicians also helped out the natives for the progression and development in this form. Swing and gypsy jazz popularity increased day by day which was a positive indicator for the European music industry. African Americans started to pursue this field more and started mixing musical notes of jazz with other notes such as rock music. The cross rhythm created through this blending and mixing process give a new vision to the music creators. This was a risky step taken by them but the response attained was promising. A new invention in the jazz field was thus making paramount. African Americans believe that Jazz music is naturally present in every black man and they can clearly create things interesting and fascinating (Hobson, p.88). The Free Jazz Impact The formal symmetry of Jazz was eradicated by Free Jazz invasion. Free Jazz broke all the boundaries of jazz which was creation of fabricated concept. Free Jazz blended all the genres of cultural music such as Arabia, Africa and Indian melodies were blended into one open subject. This created an amazing conception of jazz music as this had a direct impact on the respective regional audience. The attention grabbing and involvement of people was even more now. Loose tempo and notes were the basic advantage of free jazz premise (Love, p.65). Free Jazz sooner went into Europe where legendary musicians of this form emerged in the later years. Their services in the progress and development of Jazz are exceptional and commendable. The biggest reason of the general acceptability of free jazz was that the melody created in this form was according to the dynamics of the region so no element of international invasion can be observed in the tone. The musicians and European researches went so deep into free jazz concept that they actually defended this music form from criticism and stand firm as a wall for the resistance of free jazz (Anderson, p.91). Modern Jazz Exploration and research in the subject of music is definite as it is the most loveable medium of the world. The development in jazz took place regularly and it reached the modern jazz shores. The popularity and respect of jazz got so much huge respect that U.S Senate and House of Representatives even had to pass a resolution declaring that Jazz is a distinctive form of American music. The experimental spectrum of jazz was expanding in United States specially. Some traditional jazz musicians were against the development in the basic jazz form thus this split the jazz community. In the start of 21st century, the opposing wing had to accept that music has to go on so is the development in jazz form (Braasch, p.986). Smooth Jazz is radically a new tone in jazz theme and it was aired on radio channels first which got a massive following within days. Saxophonist role in the creation of modern jazz is important and imperative. Acid Jazz and Jazz rap are the modern jazz forms too. Created in United Kingdom, these forms got such overwhelming acceptance in the world that no one can even think of it. Their roots can be tracked down to the jazz funk commencement days. The arrangement of music composition was targeting the young generation which was the major reason of success. Jazz Core and Punk Jazz are the modern forms of Jazz too which is basically created after the blending of free jazz. The major regions of this form creation were London and New York City (Griffiths, p.141). Conclusion There is no doubt that the services provided by African Americans in the creation and progression of Jazz music are colossal. They have given a new vision to the music industry and massive development in this field gives a clear indication that Jazz has been progressing by leaps and bounds. European musicians have an eminent role in the widespread of Jazz spectrum and throughout the years their dominance in providing necessary developmental changes is commendable. In a short period of time Jazz music gained such huge reception which is tremendous and this gives an indication that this music form will even progress more in the coming years.
