No two individuals are alike. In the same way, it is difficult to have two things with the same physical properties and chemical properties. The creator has created things giving individuality to each of them. When we look at things we may feel some similarities between them. But when we closely analyze different things we can see a lot of differences between them. It is difficult for us to give individual names to represent each of the things around us.

Moreover, it is difficult for us to study more things about different objects around us without a classification because of the immense diversity of objects around us. For convenience, we normally classify things based on their similarities and differences. The whole thing in the world can be classified into two broad categories based on life; living things and nonliving things. We again classified living things into three broad categories based on their genetic similarity. The three groups are Archaea: very ancient prokaryotic microbes. Eubacteria: More advanced prokaryotic microbes. Eukaryota: All life forms with eukaryotic cells including plants and animals (Classification of Living Things) “Plants have chlorophyll so they can make their own food by photosynthesis. Animals do not have chlorophyll so they cannot make their own food. They feed on plants or other animals” (Classification of Things).

In fact, plants are food providers to all animals. Photosynthesis is the process through which plants make foods. Carbon dioxide is required for photosynthesis. Thus plants absorb the dangerous carbon dioxide liberated by animals and it liberates oxygen which is necessary for the animals. Thus plants play a major role in keeping the ecosystem in a balanced shape. Animals are again classified into different groups based on their physical properties and characteristics. Thus human, birds, wild animals, domestic animals, fish, etc like groups were formed.

Again all these groups again divided into different categories based on their different species. All living things can again be classified into two groups based on their gender; male and female. Living things can be classified based on their mobility also.
