The reason why I have a special interest in the abovementioned course is that I have had a passion for teaching since a very long time. In fact, it is since childhood that I had wanted to go for teaching. Such an interest stemmed due to certain reasons, the most important of which is that teaching comes as a second nature to me. I have been involved with several volunteer works and in all of them I have been some kind of an instructor. I first became interested in teaching when I saw the way my teachers encouraged and advised me at school.
I have had a hard teenage life, what with there being so much of financial problems which did not allow my parents to enrol me at school without receiving help from our well-wishers. In such times, when it was very likely for me to overrun my academic life, it was my teachers who mentored me and supported me. Resultantly, I felt high respect for my teachers and thus for the teaching profession. Whenever I try out the occupation during voluntary work, I enjoy the work tremendously since perhaps I perceive myself in the grateful faces of the students I help.
At the moment I am also working as a volunteer at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Blackburn. My post is that of a Trainee Advisor and I have been working here since more than a year. My work involves didactic functions such as explaining issues and any complex concepts that that the trainees need clarification on. I have a deep passion for this line of work and I naturally feel that specialized education in this field will not only enhance my career but will also be quite enlightening to me as an individual.
