Physical problems like back pain, neck pain and headache etc were associated with playing excessive video games. Moreover children will lose interest in many other things like physical activities reading, painting, etc which is essential for the mental and physical development of a child. “A 1998 study by Simon Fraser University, Video Game Culture, showed that one out of every four teens who plays video games feels addicted to them, and is troubled by a lack of control over their behaviour.

” (Excessive Playing) Lack of physical activity is a curse not only for the older generation, but even the younger generation also has not many interests in physical activities. As per Peter D. Hart Research Associates survey conducted in 1993, “43% of all adults qualify as "Less Actives," (those who fail to engage in vigorous exercise even two times a week) irrespective of young, old and, better educated or less educated.” Obesity and lack of self esteem is the result of lack of physical activities.

Video game addiction will prevent the opportunity for physical activities. Most of the older generation children were engaged in lot of physical activities like sports and games. Moreover they were keen in maintaining their body shape and for that purpose they had a habit of visiting gyms. These kind of physical activities helped them immensely in maintaining a good physical strength, stamina and also these physical activities kept their mind stress free also. Most of the video games were setup with increased difficulty levels and hence the children who win the first level will try to win the second, third etc.

Failing of each attempt will encourage them more and more to win each level and hence they will be stuck in front of the computer or television screens. For example, Prince of Persia is one of the oldest computer video game which has around 12 different levels. The difficulty in each level goes on increasing till the last level. Most of the
