t to keep a notebook because it preserves the thoughts of a person, particularly if the diary-keeper has a will to halt and write their thought instantaneously in the notebook, as and when it comes to mind. Some thoughts that come to mind at a particular instance may seem useless at that point in time, but at some later stage in life, the same thought may actually prove to be a vital point. Therefore, its preservation may be critically important. A long time written notebook note can become a life saver at times, holding important information related to a bank account or a receivables’ note.

Writing notes is a habit of many individuals amongst us, and the reason may be of varying nature. Many of those who do not write notes, think it as a useless activity, but once proved about its importance, everyone would probably start taking notes and keeping a notebook to retain the information they ‘earn’. A diary is a specialized form of a notebook, mainly held to record a day’s occurrences and proceedings. Diaries are to be written necessarily on a daily basis to retain its flow of information and to maintain its connectivity to each day from the previous and so on.

In a diary, the dates of events and occurrences are of high importance. At the same time, referring to the notebooks, a notebook is a generalized form of recording instrument whereby it can be utilized in various forms and modes. It can be used to write notes, thoughts, ideas, brainstorming, etc. Notebooks are written and filled up as and when the need be. For instance, as the author considers the utility of a notebook to record thoughts as and when they occur, and then this becomes a case-specific usage of the notebook.

At the same time, filling up a notebook or writing in it is not mandatory on a daily basis. Considering the case as author describes it, in such a scenario, it may be possible that the notebook is written once a day or once a week or monthly or yearly or with any other intervals of
