Leadership is both rational and emotional and thrives on the experiences of a person. It includes the action and judgement based on reason and logic as well as inspiration and passion. A leader should know the aspect and should have the knowledge to complete and mission. One must remember that, to maintain a good leadership, the relationship between a leader and a follower should be strong. If you respect your followers, than only, you will get the respect as a leader from them. However, there ia a dark side to leadership as well.

There are two types of personality traits: a bright side and a dark side, we shall describe each of them. Lets us begin by the bright side of personality traits. In this trait the leader behaves in a way to gain public reputation that is in a charismatic, strategic and out-spoken while others behave in a very tactful and humble manner. The people who seek guidance from these types of leaders usually have a high value towards them and their behavioural patterns. As such this behavioural pattern of the leaders proves to be successful.

On the other hand, the dark side of leadership refers to a person whose behaviour is irritating, counterproductive that interferes with his or her ability to lead and also build a cohesive, goal oriented teams. This type of behaviour is usually clear when a leader is not managing their self-image when the time is stressful or when focusing on a task accomplishment, multitasking, and dealing with tight deadlines or even in crisis. However, the complexity of leadership today makes plenty of opportunities for dark side traits.

Some of the features of dark personality traits are: excitable, sceptical, cautious, reserved and mischievous. These dark traits, usually separates the followers from their leaders and also destroys the ability to work as a team. However, some leaders have learned to control their dark side while others may have not
