Within the scope of Widget International Inc.’s SH policy, it is recognized that sexual harassment may occur between persons of different sexes or the same and may include unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favours and other behaviour of sexual nature whereby the submission to such actions is demanded by the party imposing upon the other.
Party inflicting harassment may express such demands implicitly or explicitly as conditions for favourable performance assessments, job advancements, recruitments and other career related decisions. Such sexual harassment actions may also create hostile and intimidating work environment within which the performance of the employee being subjected to harassment is affected. Following actions and behaviors are examples of conduct, which are deemed as sexual harassment within the scope of Widget International Inc.
’s Sexual Harassment Policy but not limited to the actions, conduct and behaviors that may constitute to sexual harassment. Physical Assault or suggestive remarks regarding a person’s appearances, sexual orientations and activities. Promising and granting of preferential treatment in return of submission to sexual misconduct. Implicitly or explicitly expressing that submission or rejection of a sexual advance will bear upon and affect the decisions with regards to a person’s career such as advancements, appraisals, salary increments, and promotions.
Continued inappropriate behavior which cause embarrassment and discomfort which may include lewd remarks; verbal or written comments or jokes of sexual nature; display of or communicating content of phonographic nature; inappropriate touching, petting, unwarranted brushing against a person.
