Cat 3 Benjamin PID: A98032716 Film treatment Since 1988, scientists have devoted themselves to the exploration of ways to contact aliens. One of the scientists sends a message to the outer space by using binary code carrying the basic information of earth and humans. After 27 years, he gets a message written in the same binary code bringing information about planet N and the citizens that are called 847Z aliens. After translating the code, the scientist gets the basic information about planet N. Besides that, he also gets a warning from 847Zaliens to humans saying that they are peaceful but there are some other aliens out there that are aggressive and dangerous. When the scientists ask more about the aggressive aliens and outer space, there get no further response from the 847Z aliens. The excitement of finding and communicating with aliens makes scientists and government ignore the warning from 847Z aliens. The government provides more funding to the space institution to let the scientists send more messages to the outer space aliens. Without heeding the earlier warning from the 847Z aliens, humans keep sending their information and location to space. Since then, an active bomb has remained buried deep in space. One day in 2055, the 774C aliens arrive on earth silently. They received the message that scientists sent 20 years ago and decided to explore this unknown planet. Not like the 847Z aliens who prefer peace, the 774C aliens believe in survival, nature and mutual benefits. They come to earth searching for energy resources and food. 774C aliens have hands with four fingers and feet with 3 toes. Generally, they are human-like aliens. The only difference is that instead of having bones, soft tissues make up their whole body. So they can transform into anything they see. 774C aliens communicate with each other by telepathy. The 20 774C alien team that arrived has been sent to earth first to explore. One of the 20 aliens is named Chico. Chico’s order is to arrest some humans and bring them back to their spaceship for experiments. The alien scientists build a database about humans to learn about the most intelligent species on earth. They collect data about the human body and learn that the protein in human bodies can provide large amounts of energy to their body. In fact, their planet has been over exploited and cannot produce enough food for them to survive. For the 774C aliens, earth is a potential habitat. Alien Chico transforms into one of the humans that he has arrested and lives in human society to learn the knowledge and history of human. After scanning data about earth and humans on the Internet and in books, Chico learns that humans like to solve problems by means of wars. He and other aliens in his group learn about World War I and World War II. 774C aliens decide to use force to conquer humans and reach a consensus to occupy earth as a colony. Their home planet’s environmental situation doesn’t allow for enough plants and animals to survive. 774C aliens are the only living creatures in their planet. The beauty of nature on earth shocked them. However, the destruction of the ecological system of earth that humans have caused annoys the 774C aliens. After transferring the data about earth back to headquarters, the leader of 774C aliens decides to send more aliens to earth to occupy this habitat. The 20 774C aliens need to kill 5 people per day as their food resource and experiment target. As the number of missing people increase, government starts to investigate. In a mission to find new “food,” Chico is surrounded and arrested by 20 policemen. After electric shock, the soft tissues of the alien body cannot hold its shape. Chico’s camouflage is discovered. The government gives Chico to a group of scientists to study. In the laboratory, Chico communicates with one of the scientists name Allen. Chico tells Allen that they have observed the situation on earth and have concluded that overpopulation and industrialization by humans will lead to the destruction of the earth in 100 years. However, earth is the only habitat that 774C aliens have discovered with a living environment and plenty of food. For their own good, and also for the ecological balance of the earth, 774C aliens have decided to kill half of the human population and consume that as food and energy resource. 774C aliens believe that they have to kill humans to reduce the burden of overpopulation that humans have placed on the earth. Killing is the only way to reach the balance in the ecological system. Allen argues with Chico saying that what aliens are planning to do is inhuman. However, only humans believe in humanism. The 774C aliens follow the rule of nature and space. In nature, lion eat deer in order to survive. However, if the number of deer is not big enough to afford lions, the lions will die. Then the number of lions decreases. Eventually, the number of lions and deer reach a balance for a sustainable ecology to arise. When the population of humans increases, the competition in human society for resources, food, and energy becomes more and more aggressive. When the population reaches an extreme point, it will break the ecological balance. Then the earth will be destroyed. Humans are the real killer. The 774C aliens believe that they are the natural predators for humans, there to balance the ecological system of the earth. A few weeks later, Chico starves to death. His last words are “They are coming.” After few months, hundreds of spaceships cover the sky over a large wheat field. They build a base with protection cover. Human weapons are unable to hurt them at all. They are able to excrete the bullets from human guns by using their soft tissue body. Hundreds of humans die every single day from the battle with the aliens. Dead, dismembered human bodies are everywhere. However, the invading aliens don’t use any weapons of mass destruction because they don’t want to destroy the earth. Humans are in a dire situation. The leader of the humans tries to contact 847Z aliens to ask for help. However, 847Z aliens respond that they have warned humans that there are other hostile aliens and have persuaded them previously to stop trying to contact the other civilizations and species, especially when they don’t have technologies that are advanced enough to protect themselves and to compete with those aggressive alien races. For their own interests, the 847Z aliens refuse to help the humans. Having failed to secure that help, the leaders of the humans start to negotiate with the 774C aliens leaders, the human leaders tell the invading aliens that it is not humanistic to eat such a highly intelligent species as human beings. However, the 774C aliens believe that humans are not as intelligent as they are. Also, they regard their own lives as the most precious thing in the universe. If they don’t eat humans, they will die. In other words, humans also eat other intelligent species on earth such as pigs, chickens, and other sentient beings. The aliens don’t understand why they should not eat humans in turn. Also, if they don’t eat humans, their overpopulation of earth cannot be curbed. The ecological systems and the environment of the earth in general cannot be improved. 847Z aliens want to destroy all the humans and supplant humans in the ecological system themselves. Humans and aliens have totally different values and perspectives regarding the world. Aliens believe that it is the power of nature and the power of space that are the most important values. All the living creatures have to obey the law of universe. The fact that strong species survive by consuming the weak species is an aspect of the rule of the universe. Defeated in their attempt to reason with the aliens, Humans use all the weapons they have to attack them - new fighter planes, nuclear bombs, cannons, and conventional weapons like machine guns. The massive use of nuclear weapons destroys the ecological system and environment of earth. However, it doesn’t destroy all the aliens. They have such tenacious vitality. However, the casualty rate of humans is too large to be ignored. The advanced technologies and weapons of aliens put humans in a vulnerable position. The huge technological differences between alien and human technologies have already decided who the winner of this war is. Mankind falls into panic. References Read More
