Many Cultures, One Voice: Promote Inclusion and Equality Registration Number Promoting Equality and Inclusion Justice aims atcreating a just, honest and upright society that grants equal opportunity to every member in order to fully attain their potential without discrimination. Inclusion reflects an individual’s encounter in a particular social setup where they draw great gratification of value, importance and feel included (Rix, 2010, p.17). These two ingredients form a strong relationship between different individuals in all human environments.

The two words also advocate equal opportunity for all and acting as a secure foundation for human rights. Promoting inclusivity has a myriad of positive effects to humanity in all spheres of life. Governments and human rights lobby groups have liaised in the past to achieve fundamental human rights objective in several ways. Inclusivity creates a powerful tool for transparency, which from a global perspective will eventually improve the outcome of performance in managing global social, economic and environmental problems.

Governments and international conventions have drafted and implemented policies that have gradually achieved cohesion and understanding amongst different people by encouraging participation (Zbilgin, 2009, p.33). The most powerful inclusion statement in the recent past has been bolstering women rights. Most of the countries have inculcated women’s participation in economic, social and political realms through equal opportunity policies in the constitution. Many have come to accept the inevitable impact that globalization has contributed to humanity.

Several previous barriers have been overcome by the use of technology in articulating views and opinions in global forums. In a typical state landscape, the need to create harmony in the system can only be achieved by empowering the different cultures and appreciating the existing cultural diversities. (Rix, 2010, p.41). Four major forms of barriers exist in the modern society. Structural barriers include circumstances that result in barriers to adequate housing, ample income, and are mostly induced by economic inadequacies that lead to poverty.

Cultural barriers can be used to overcome segregation emanating from certain religious orientations, relational affiliations, and dietary needs that do not match traditional assumptions. Personal barriers are deeply rooted in nearly all organizational structures. Personal prejudice can be very noxious in an organization especially when a group of individuals perpetuates segregation to people of particular characters. Institutional barriers have developed practices that seclude certain people like women from rising to top echelons of management.

Personal prejudice can also be in the form of favoritism and racial prejudice in extreme cases (Grown, 2005, p.20). Communication is a powerful tool in homogenizing the diverse cultures in modern society. Communication barriers occur when communication needs of certain individuals, groups or organizations are not taken into consideration or undervalued. Capacity building encourages different cultures participate in an array of opportunities that has a great influence on the society as a whole.

This can be a stepping-stone to creating opportunities in all dimensions of culture and suppressing the preexisting inequalities. Creating a strong link with communities will encourage unity due to a common understanding instilled. Building community skills through the creation of awareness and education can support inter-cultural understanding (Grown, 2005, p.27). The momentum attained in supporting projects within communities and groups of different cultural background will unlock communication barriers and spawn healthy relationship that will have a pervasive effect on a country and beyond.
