Art and Gender Assemblage - Essay Example

My assemblage consisted of flat ballerina shoes, vogue magazine, teddy bear, diary, and lip balm. I used the chosen objects so that I could say something about my gender. I wanted to express my feminine used gender. I used the flat ballerina shoes as it is a general trend in females within my age bracket currently. These shoes symbolize comfort made possible to the female gender. The vogue magazine is a must-have a copy to every female in America, through this magazine; females around the world learn the latest trends fashion-wise, latest celebrity gossip and latest makeup products.

Including my teddy bear in the assemblage, was to bring out a part of me; which every girl has. As females develop, they are showered with toys that comprise of nursing and home care (Robinson et al 132). Adding the teddy bear in the assemblage will point out that this assemblage was made by a girl. All girls have secrets, and all teenage girls have diaries where they lash out their daily experiences and crushes; that is why I included my dairy. I arranged the assemblage to resemble a collage with a pink background; so as to communicate gender.
