Peace Officer Vs Police Officer The Texas peace officer and the Texas Police officers are commissioned with a common purpose of enforcing law and order within the region. Police officers have a more prescribed and responsible duty as compared to the peace officers. The peace officers are confined to making sure that the laws are met and safety of the citizens remains ensured. N the contrary the police officers are provided with extensive powers that allow them to take serious action against a theft.

The peace officers are liable to take help of the police officers in situations where serious action is required. In other words the peace officer in Texas is dependent on the police for their support. The peace officers are usually armed but the only circumstance in which they are allowed to carry arms and ammunitions is that they should be licensed. A private security personal is provided with the basic training to enforce security but only the police officers have the right to take any serious action and refer to the law and judiciary.

The peace officers do not possess arrest powers and that power is only vested with the police. In a nutshell the peace officers and the police officers have a very responsible duty and perform a noble cause.
