The senators totally disenfranchise the electorate in an effort to show them the importance of short working hours. It is evident that have been numerous instances where the learned senators have shot down bills.

Most of the bills were meant to cause reforms to women and to improve their position in the society. A case at hand is during the Albany hearing they made desperate efforts to justify their voting against the bill (Schneiderman 137). From the afore mentioned reasons, therefore, it is vital for women’s place in society to be taken into account through their right to say. The senators, therefore, have to adapt to the new changing times that are able to accommodate the role of women in modern day politics and that they ought to have their voices heard in key issues affecting women .
