Extract of sample "Paintings From Impressionist and Post-impressionist Periods"

I take this opportunity to recommend three pieces of art from the Impressionism period that will surely embellish our corporate office they are Rouen Cathedral in Full Sunlight by Claude Monet; Gelée Blanche – Hoarfrost by Camille Pissarro; and Water Lilies and Japanese Bridge by Claude Monet. These paintings portray realism and do not touch any mythology or fantasy topics. Impressionist paintings searched intensively about the effects of color and light in nature by applying the paint in brightly colored strokes (Moffat, 2007).

Post-Impressionist Works

The paintings from the post-impressionist periods that I would like to recommend are The Yellow Christ, 1889 by Paul Gauguin; The Thinker by Auguste Rodin; The Château at Médan, 1880 by Paul Cézanne. Emotions, symbolism, and visual imagery are the characteristics of post-impressionist works.

Answer 2a:  Rouen Cathedral in Full Sunlight

The first one in the bunch of impressionist paintings that I would choose is ‘Rouen Cathedral in Full Sunlight’, painted by Claude Monet in 1893. It needs to be placed in the visitor’s hall so that it can remind all concerned that our company is capable to withstand the test of time just like this cathedral.

Answer 3a: Cathedral has a historical significance in the sense that it has stood to the test of time since 1200 AD.

Answer 4a: It reminds visitors that the company is capable to withstand the scrutiny of times in the same way as this cathedral has been in the last several centuries.

Answer 2b: Gelée Blanche - Hoarfrost

'Gelée Blanche - Hoarfrost' is the second painting among the impressionist group that I would recommend. It is a painting done by Camille Pissarro in the year 1873.  The painting should be placed in the conference hall where major meetings of the company are held throughout the year.

Answer 3b:

Landscaping in the countryside was the most natural and influential subject for the impressionists and the painting correctly represents that genre.

Answer 4b:

The painting depicts that the company always thinks about its countryside for harmony and sustainable growth.

Answer 2c:

Water Lilies and Japanese Bridge, 1899

The third and last painting selected from the impressionists’ period is the creation of Claude Monet named Water Lilies and Japanese Bridge, 1899. The painting needs to be exhibited at the project office reminding construction is the way of life.

Answer 3c.

Impressionists always touched upon the live subject instead of old mythological events for their expressions.

Answer 4c.

The painting firmly establishes that development and growth are possible in harmony with the flora and fauna of Mother Earth.

Post-Impressionist Works

'The Yellow Christ, 1889

Answer 2a:

'The Yellow Christ' by Paul Gauguin is the first painting that I would choose for our corporate office to be placed at the entrance rightly denoting that prayer has strength.

Answer 3a:

Post-impressionist artists were more concerned with the emotional and the spiritual aspect of life and that is very well exhibited in this painting.

Answer 4a:

The painting provides emotional and spiritual support to everyone who comes and works at the company’s corporate office.

Answer 2b:

The Thinker by Auguste Rodin

This is the fifth painting that I would choose to be placed in CEO’s office.

Answer 3b:

The piece of artistry is significant in the sense that mankind has ushered into an era that is now full of reasoning, thought, and analysis and the painting correctly depicts this process.

Answer 4b:

The painting helps create an environment and informs that the company’s current status is largely attributed to the systematized thinking process that the company always undertakes before launching any new project.

Answer 2c:

       The Château at Médan

The last painting from a post-impressionist artist that I would like to choose is 'The Château at Médan', 1880 by Paul Cézanne. The most appropriate place for this painting in the corporate office is the project department that undertakes new projects for clients.

Answer 3c:

The piece of artistry is significant because Paul Cézanne called his works ‘'construction after nature’'. The painting beautifully depicts a three-dimensional scene on a two-dimensional surface.

Answer 4c:

Having been inspired by the painting, the architects of the company will design and build houses that will look as splendid as this painting reveals.
