Running Head: Democracy & Human Rights in Asia Democracy & Human Rights in Asia [Institute’s Democracy & Human Rights in Asia Values are the truest essence of any society build up either western, eastern Asian or whatever the surroundings are. Since time immemorial of western Roman empires or eastern or Byzantine cultures human attributes, norms an environment has been changing and variety of stuff has been induced up until now. The question posed is the status of applications of democracy in today’s genre. Democracy is a word, which is institution in itself to comprehend. Generally, we state that democracy is to form governmental rules in accordance with the people’s choice. As far Asian and Western culture is concerned, it can be studied in two ways along wise that is dogmatic or communal (Bell, 2000, pg. 67). If one has to pen down the social uplifts in both these cultures, then morally and ethically Western culture is far behind in moral norms as compared to Asian averages. West has by far with an approach being not keeping abreast of religious medians in political implementations. Religious medians are more expressive and demanding regarding the human uplifts and hominid elevations. Although West has totally defined human rights and since by far trying reach the best of its output but the limitations and boundaries set by such Western liberalism is not apprehend able by a nonprofessional. Western democracy is somehow a kind of dictatorship where only those can survive easily who are in relation to those liberal rights designers from the perspective of religion. Western liberal democracy does not render a true platform to followers of a certain minority religion holder to apply their values openly while living in such states. Roseau stated that the big the state is; the more difficult it would be to run it with democracy where rights and thoughts of every person are valued. Asian democracies in political perspectives although not very successful in certain countries of the world but their values for upholding a pure socially upgraded and esteemed are far fruitful than those of Western ones. Liberal democracies are true pictures of autonomy, copious, supremacy, and genuine build-ups. Therefore, simply if these attributes are existed in any democratic state either western or eastern that state would be more appropriate in building up a pure social and human rights building state. Asian democratic sates are individual value based set ups with power of legitimate enactments. There is a conflict in human rights and societies dimensions in both cultures because as far the individual is satisfied and pro-active the more that society and culture will move ahead leaving an example behind to follow. The suicidal rates are far greater in number in countries as if America, which depicts itself a pure democratic, human value, based system followers. In comparison to it, Asian countries like Bangladesh are least in suicidal rates although they are not much developed in government, economic uplifts, and dignitaries’ values. Therefore, it infers that western systems cannot be truly and solely admitted in formation of developed and socially updated environments in relation to the Asian countries or societies regulations (Bell, 2006, pg. 56). The formation of any certain nation or state is based on some tactical regulations, which contribute a lot in finalizing their status in the world, such as their status with respect to individual values system for societal and indigenous behaviors, political sociopolitical states and economics of that state or nation. If these three put together in appropriate ratios then they can truly depict a state which is an example for democratic human value system but the sad part it flaws are always there because every thought is unique in every individual and that’s what one wants to see practicing every time. In the USA, 5 per cent of the population owns 60 per cent of the national wealth, making it the most incapable and unhinged society in the world. Therefore, how one could expect that democratic views followed in West are good enough as in comparison to Asian states. Thus, current genres of democracy coming from the west must be revised as they are rendering just corruption and inadequate accusations and collusions throughout the world. Researches and surveys on the formation, conventions and growth in human rights and democratic states of the world show that western traditions of liberal democratic states are designed simply to destroy anthropological concerns in all aspects. They are purely fabricated, illusive, and obnoxious. Analysis of Western liberalism shows that it is sardonic and premeditated to extinguish aristocracy and truest form of democracy throughout the world. For instance, America proving herself to be virginally democratic and human rights reservoir but what about the monopolistic and dictator regulations this state is trying to device throughout the world. It is a disguised plan to destroy sovereignty of states on their nations and a pure manipulated system to become the memorandum designers of the world theories of democracy and human rights (Bary, 1998, pg. 10). The English “Insurgency”, civil war or ailment of 1640, including corpus executions of people and sovereigns all over Europe, and in addition to it, the English Bill of Rights in 1689 were the foundation of the intercontinental capitalistic sedition of western Liberal Democracy. Moreover, the massacres of Russians are true evidence of the western corruption hidden in liberalism. Thus, Western and Asian liberal school of thoughts is opposite and former is not as true as it depicts to be. On the other hand, Surain Subramanium says that Asian democratic views are far rich and attracted a broad array of scholars towards themselves. Asian democracy has some characteristics, which could be found in relation to the western values as in human hospitality and regards, but it is not actually practiced in West. Race of West are witnessing such atmospheres since birth where people are least concerned to the others from moral or ethical point of views. Eastern societies believe in individual interests and benefits and find it hard to come across with other societal relations, as they are not inclined to do so. They do not have such propensity in them that they could think about those who are sideway to them. Western liberalisms never deem it imperative to figure they hold some social responsibilities for those who are common in appearance formation to them but may be different from genetically formation to them. Why all the vices come up with such a big ratios in Western areas as in comparison to the Asian ones? There is a reason for this. Asian countries like Pakistan, China, and Bangladesh hold some human values attributes, which are common in all of the states. They hold a designed Performa, which carves out some regulations to all the people living in those certain states irrespective to what society, religion, or school of thought they belong to. This Performa is actually the do’s and don’ts in the state in relation to the religion and the values they were brought up with; although these regulations are also practiced in the West as well, but they are quite different in nature from the Asian ones. Mostly in Asian states, they are minority rights protector, socially build up, and pragmatically hold some good sense of human certain values realizations. However, one could not find these socially developed atmospheres in western liberalisms where people are concerned only to what they belong to and sometimes they do not even hold a right to practice their religious or social values in certain western states (Bary, 1998, pg. 101). Western liberal approach is based on the rule of majority either legal or illegal, which is a direct menace of social harmony of all states of the word. Thus, the anticompetitive power with its hidden ethnic approach of riots slowly and gradually destroys the very concept of human rights protection and formations. It destroys democracy and disfranchises the rest. They destabilize social, political, and economic impartialities permanently. This status quo results in creation of municipal forces autocracies working through above-board and constitutional legitimacy deliberated by the conventional system. Consequently, one can up to this end that western liberalism is although established in the formation of a state that may reach to the heights of economic wealth figures with proper system of data but still there lies some indiscrepancies in the end. States and societies flourish when their rights and freedom of life is completely respected which is somehow found practiced in Asian cultures but in western societies, these cultures are not adopted, followed, or formed as an imperative need of the hour. They are just their in or along with the individual. Overall, it is not witnessed in the society or value build up systems in the end or at a larger scale (Brems, 2001, pg. 89). Asian liberalism is perfect as a concept holder of rendering human services either belonging to any state, religion, or school of thought to ensure the protection of humanities to all possible points of reach. Liberal democracy provide better representation and more freedom for their citizens than others that is practiced in West but in Asia they see through the exemplification and independences of others as well. If human civil liberties, egalitarianism, and entrepreneurship are to take root and produce advantageous aftermaths in world, Bell says that they must be accustomed to contemporary Asian political and economic realities and to the values of neoliberal East Asian political traditions such as Confucianism and Legalism. Thus, not cultural values stand in the way of liberal democracy and market economy in Asia but political and economic securities of local cream of the crop, who are petrified of losing their unwarranted privileges if a truly substantial order sets in. So, although the western politics id far developed but they are a step back in social and human uplifts. It is the case of Asian developments although exemplary in human rights and social uplifts but still at some places, they are bound to remain underprivileged. This cannot be implied everywhere at every stage and at every institution of the world. One can end up that Asian democracy holds a stronger part in Homo sapiens build up. References Bary, W.
