As a minority in the group, I took a proactive approach to be heard by the team. After the team saw my presentation they named me team leader and they unanimously agreed that my idea was the best option. The team got an excellent grade in the project. This experience taught me that leadership can be achieved through perseverance and hard work. I reacted in a positive manner towards being a minority within the group. My actions were not disruptive in any manner. I was not expecting to be named team leader, but I took great pride and joy in serving the role the best I could.

The team member realized that I had expertise in the subject manner due to the quality of presentation I was able to prepare overnight. Whenever I face challenges I am often able to overtake them by using my mind to think of ideas that can help me deal with the situation or conflict.
