Extract of sample "Robert Crosson Poetry"

Robert Crosson was many things rolled in one. Besides being a from LA, he was also an actor, philosopher, student, a restaurant manager and a house painter. ‘The Day Sam Goldwyn Stepped off the Train’ poem does not speak of any particular theme, but is crammed with realistic ideas that range from movies to authors, to the Niagara Falls and Houdini. The title of the poem is not reflected in the lines of the poem and is somewhat misleading. The language used by the poet is not poetical but on the other hand presents realistic situations alongside things that are well known or popular such as movies like ‘Gone with the Wind’, ‘The Wizard of Oz’, ‘The Niagara Falls’ or the ‘Colorado Rapids’ in order to express the message he had in mind.

The lines do not rhyme, nor do they fall under any particular meter. The poet presents the day to day happenings in a comic manner, but all the same pass on his message quite clearly.
