Every person who works among children is termed as a professional. However the notion that these people do not need formal qualifications is a bad idea.

Formal qualifications are important. Making wise decisions about children needs a very sound knowledge in a wide variety of realms and also complex set of skills to put this knowledge into practice. Here the need of formal qualification steps in, a formal course of study leading to qualification in early childhood care and education. So, it is evident that excellent service for children proceeds from people with formal qualifications and they would be called forth to guide the ones without the necessary qualifications, thus making a team of assistants and childcare providers, who create a useful environment(Child Care).

States have put very stringent norms regarding the qualified professionals in this field. These norms differ from State to State. So the candidate should make sure the requirement of the particular state where he resides and take part in the training program which prepares him/her for the state certification.
