Special anxiety is caused by the fact that drug addiction has a “young face”. It means that majority of people who take drugs are young people who are14-30 years old. The consumption of drugs has become a part of the youth leisure, entertainment. Drugs are everywhere: at the parties, establishments of education, etc. Drugs influence our community greatly. They increase the amount of crimes, spreading of serious and incurable diseases such as AIDS and hepatitis.
I think it is important to talk with children about this burning problem. We should begin preventive work from kindergarten. Specialists should talk not only to children but to their parents. Work with children mustn’t be in a form of lectures, which arouse only scepsis. There must be confident conversations with pupils and students. Specialists must do everything possible to detect risk groups at school.
