The chief aim of this study is to efficiently assess the use of aluminium in the construction industry, along with the determination if aluminium is a significant part of the sustainable future. This can be done by appropriately establishing the background, evident benefits and drawbacks that can be witnessed in adopting aluminium in buildings. Moreover, we will propose a criterion for a sustainable material which will help in the evaluation of the efficacy of the present uses of aluminium. Moreover, we will find out whether the attributes of the material possess a significant influence to sustainability, and will also determine whether those attributes of the material prove to be of some help in the performance of a building.
