The annual reports 2009 of Marks & Spenser claims that the company is catering to 21 million UK customers. Marks & Spenser core business can be split into two categories including General Merchandise (clothing and home) and Food. The market share value of the company’s general merchandise is 10.7 percent and its market share volume is 11.2 percent.
