The conclusion restates the thesis of the introduction with the material provided in the body. It forms a link to the concepts presented in the conclusion to the thesis made in the introduction. A typical sentence in modern prose has an average of 16 words but this can vary as long as the thought is complete. While increasing the number of words from the average is claimed to diminish readability, it may also work to further make the thought more clearly conveyed. A paragraph is typically composed of three long sentences or ten shorter ones.

Sometimes, it can be composed of only one or two very long sentences as long as it contains the idea and the key sentences that develop it. People that are closed to feedback are typically those who delivered the entire message and assume that mutual understanding has occurred. There are also people who give the entire message and then sums it ups with the question: “Do you have any questions?”. Asking this to the receiver often do not work since it may make the receivers feel they are ignorant.

They may also be indeed ignorant of the issue or know more about it but do not want to point out the sender’s ignorance. Cultural barriers may also exist making the communication process ineffective. There are many ways to get feedback but four guidelines stand out. One is to make sure that you do not make the receivers feel ignorant. You must also be conveying a message that can be appreciated by all and not send one where receivers are completely ignorant of. Receiver must also be made to feel that they are welcome to point out any information which they think is not fully covered or fully explained and give their own inputs.
