I was repeatedly infected by bacteria: beta-h(a) hemolytic streptococcus c, examinations were carried out in 2007, 2008, and 2009, and thus had to take prescribed antibiotics (evidence provided).

Throughout the period I had to travel back and forth between several physicians and health advisors which considerably drained my energies embalming which was vitally important to succeed in the program. My suffering was worsened due to weakened concentrating abilities resulting from taking the prescribed drugs.

From the evidence provided, I must say I did suffer all along the course and I was affected during the 3 years course.

As instances of the negative effect this had on my studies, I consider courses, where part of the assessment was a group presentation, poster presentation, or group report and where I faced difficulties to attend group meetings and group work. Because of the recurrence of infections, I could afford less flexibility which in turn affected the aggregative performance of the group.

All these severe infections led to a substantially lower performance compared to what I believe my potential to be.

I would thus argue that my performance was constrained by an unfortunately recurrent state of ill health which prevented me from realizing my potential. I am convinced that if I did not have to go through the harrowing experience of continuously trying my level best all the while recognizing that my performance was being rendered sub-optimal by factors entirely beyond my control, I would have secured better grades.

I do believe this strongly since I know how committed I have been to putting in the most sincere efforts which are reflected strongly in the following grades that I acquired despite not being in full capacity on top of facing difficulties resulting from my international background.

It was only in cases where it was absolutely beyond my ability to submit assignments on time due to health issues that I asked for extensions since I was confident about my abilities and qualities from the perspective of delivering high standards in the assignments.

Reviewing my case in light of the unfortunate illnesses I had to suffer which did in effect prove binding in terms of attaining my goals along with my previous academic and non-academic performances I sincerely request that my final 2.2 grade be reconsidered for an upgrade.
