Critique of the book: Use both sides of your brain by author Tony Buzan - Essay Example

Among his books are his all time famous Use Your Head series. His books are translated in more than 30 languages. Tony Buzan achieved a lifetime achievement award in the year 2008 from American Creativity Society. He is the creator of the Mind Maps which is used by the Swiss Army and over 250 million people worldwide. According to estimation his concepts has been followed by over three billion people. He is completely against the modern methods of learning and says that people should look at the base of how our brain works.

Students are told what to learn but they are not told about how to learn. He is of the view that learning should be fun for the learners to develop their interest; there should be more than absurd course of study. Tony Buzan is a pioneer in the Brain science. He first acquired knowledge himself about the working of the brain through a thorough research and then instruct and train others how one should use his or her brain to get the maximum out of it. The book is well-written and easy to understand.
