In life it is important to have goals and choose a career path that is aligned with a person’s interest and competencies. I have always been interested in pursuing a career in law. In college I choose a bachelor’s degree that provided me with skills and knowledge that would be practical for a lawyer. My studies in business administration helped me developed my technical writing skills, critical thinking capabilities, and analytic abilities. My educational background will be very helpful for me in my journey towards a law degree due to my specific interest within the realm of the law. I am interested in studying international business law.
I had the unique opportunity of realizing my studies outside the United States. Doing so helped me gain a better understanding of the business world from an international perspective. I have a good understanding of the role international legal system has on business entities. The globalization movement created thousands of multinational corporations which need legal assistance in order to succeed in their international endeavors. Contract law is extremely important for companies dealing in foreign marketplaces because contracts are utilized to stipulate the terms and agreements between different parties. The legal variable in business is actually one of the six macroeconomic forces within a PESTEL analysis which is often utilized to determine the viability of an international expansion plan. Some work tasks that interest me within an international law setting are contracts, imports and exports, and market entry strategies such as joint ventures.
I understand that law studies require a high level of personal commitment and sacrifice. Law students perform a lot of reading of laws and court cases. I have always love reading and analyzing the information being read. During my college years I usually spend over 20 hours a week in the library doing research. A law student must also be responsible and have good communication skills. I have always being very good at performing oral presentations in front of a group. A career in law provides lots of benefits for the person who achieves that status. The law is one of the highest paying careers globally. The average salary of a first year law associate in a large firm is $145,000 (Legalnut). Along with great potential income a career in law provides an opportunity to help others. As an international lawyer I would have an opportunity to work in an exciting work environment and deal with people of all nationalities. Prior to starting any law program I am willing to enroll in any summer programs available in the academia, public or private industry to gain valuable work experience and insight into the profession.
My educational goal is to pursue a degree in international business law. I am interested in this specialization because it is fast growing field that with an exiting working environment. A career in law would provide me with financial stability and personal satisfaction. Globalization has become the most important movement of the 21st century. In order to become a successful company firms must penetrate foreign marketplace in order to increase their sales and customer base. Due to this necessity the field of international law provides professionals with an alternative that brings plenty of work opportunities at various locations around the world. I plan my education timeline well so that my bachelor’s studies would serve as a basis for my graduate studies. Lawyers are important members of society that provide people or businesses assistance with legal issues. As I move forward in life I know that a degree in law will be the best decision I can make for my well being and the well being of my family.

Race and Your Community

...? Race and Community Race and Community Admittedly, my community, that is Dallas, is notorious for the existence of racism. It seems that the issue of racism is much higher in this city because of the special nature of the demography here. In this area, all the racial groups are almost equal in size. According to the 2000 statistics, Hispanics are the largest group which constitutes nearly 35.55 % of the population followed by 34.56 percent whites. The presence of blacks is estimated at nearly 25.65%. Asians and other races are the minority, which together contribute less than 5% of the total population. Evidently, this mix of population has a specific role in amplifying racial issues. Due to the almost equal proportion of various...

American Government

...?American Government Discuss the proposal to privatize Social Security. One aspect of that plan is to allow individuals to invest most, if not all, of their own money into investments, rather than into the Social Security System. Given recent economic events, discuss whether this plan will be effective. How would this plan affect you? Do some additional research on this topic (how Social Security can be changed or if it should remain as is) and include it in your discussion. Include citations or URLs for your work to receive full credit To rationalize privatising Social Security, it is argued that in 4-5yrs there will be more retired people in the US, than people working and paying taxes via FICA for OASDI. Gay-lesbian should allowed to become foster parents or adopted

...?Gay and lesbian couples deserve equal treatment as that of heterosexuals and therefore should be allowed to adopt children. The society has acted discriminately in the past against these people, with 29 states illegalizing such unions thereby making it difficult for them to adopt children. However, it should be known that there are benefits that can be accrued from allowing gay-lesbian couples to adopt children.
