Wisdom (2002) states that students have been equipped with the necessary ICT education which they will need in their future careers and education. They are able to gain several computer-based learning approaches as well as computer-aided learning as well as research and development.

This has made students have the ability to make better decisions regarding their future education and careers due to better information and is now in a position to take part in global resource-sharing. Through the internet, students can now access information about higher education in overseas universities that offer the best education. These universities have posited their information related to all courses they offer and their costs thus the aspiring students can easily get a wide selection of courses as their passion and capability.

They can still use the internet for distance learning which cuts down education expenses (Preston & Hammond, 2004). ICT has also enabled teachers to advance their level of education through e-learning. Through internet services, teachers are able to access education in universities and colleges by accessing learning materials and exams on the internet. They, therefore, advance their skills and knowledge while still carrying the normal teaching duties. They have also been able to improve the quality of education via gaining new approaches to learning including demonstrations, presentations, practice, elaboration, and interaction which are much more participatory and interactive (Kozma, 2003).

In her research, Loveless (2001) indicated that through the development of ICT in schools and learning institutions, there has been a platform for new learning opportunities which tackles issues in fields of mutual interests like HIV AIDs control, peace, justice, and equal opportunities promotion, environmental protection and promoting well understanding of the people According to Jonassen (2004), Computer bases management in learning institutions have enabled efficient system of running them. The institutions can admit students and teachers online while students can easily access results and other information concerning them through the internet without bothering the officials.

The management can now manage data and information regarding the institution's finance, operations, stakeholders, and schedules easily with the use of a computer file management system. Gaster (2003) claims that the Internet, as the main tool of technology if effectively utilized can come out as the most effective approach in increasing the knowledge and skills of the students. With the education authorities being aware of the importance of ICT to the lives of the students, they should come out and fully carry out the required strategies of empowering ICT to give support to the learning and teaching process in schools and other crucial learning institutions.

Therefore, there should be trends and prospects of integrating ICT in all educational activities. With the fast growth of the ICT, there should be the integration of the educational sector to adapt to the ICT system (Florian, 2004).
