The teenaged girl appears to be sleeping on the bed, her body tilted to one side and her face hidden on the pillow and her legs bent at the knees and half-raised. Only the girl happens to be dead. The bereaved were her horrified mother and younger brother.

The mother discovered the girl's condition in the morning when the latter failed to awake and she, the mother, went to find what was wrong. The girl had not responded to her mother's persistent call to wake up. The girl had vomited blood and had breathed her last sometime early in the wee hours of the morning.The CaseMurder is suspected as there is no reason for the girl to have committed suicide. It is an open and shut case, as the mother has named the suspect. After completing the formalities of investigation, it will become clear to establish motives and nail the suspect who is a school drop out and has been stalking the girl.

She agreed for a date the previous night but failed to return until the suspect brought her home in an unconscious condition.According to the mother, she was a bright girl and did not need to be woken up. She had agreed to date the boy on the condition that he never asked her out again. Probably she felt he would see reason if she talked to him and encouraged him to resume schooling. She wanted the best for him. She was the type who met challenges head on.The police had come and sealed off the bedroom.

The photographer was taking photographs from various angles. There were others with the police to take fingerprints, analyze DNA samples, footwear experts, and another person who looked after computer forensics. The fingerprint and DNA samples were taken. The computer forensics was only present to see first hand the body position of the deceased. The forensics report would have to wait as it came under analysis that took place at the general hospital. The footwear experts were working on the footsteps in the driveway and all the way into the bedroom (Crime Scene Investigator Network).

The motherThe mother had been a nurse for eight years. She was sure it was a case of spiked drinks. The substance was strong enough to render the girl unconscious and then cause her death. Even in her distraught condition, the mother kept remarkably cool and waited for the crime investigator to arrive. When the investigating team of police and medical officials did arrive, she calmly waited for the questions from the team. The team was professional and did a good job of covering the body, taking blood samples, the bed sheets, pillow, and some other items found around the bed.

They questioned the mother and the younger brother. The younger brother did not prove to be of much help. The mother was more forthcoming and instant in her replies. She broke down only when the body was taken to the waiting ambulance and driven away for further investigation.The suspect was arrested within the next hour. The mother knew he would be charge sheeted only after thorough investigation. She did not know if he would be charge sheeted for murder or man slaughter. She regretted her decision to allow her daughter to go on date with the suspect.

But she knew she could do little to change her daughter's mind. Her daughter was a responsible teenager who knew her mind.She was a widower. She had lost her husband five years before in an accident.ConclusionThe suspect was interrogated and he admitted to spiking her drinks with cocaine. He said he felt the amount of drug he was using was enough to cause unconsciousness, not death. The girl was not aware she was taking drugs. He had used coke and she had felt she was drinking just that. In a short while when she began feeling giddiness, he felt he had her in his power.

However, he panicked when she passed out and did not respond to his tentative calls.He was formally arrested for the crime and there was no indication if he was to be charge sheeted for murder or man slaughter. Personally, she wanted him to be hanged for the crime. However, she waited for the faith in her to forgive him. Deep within she knew it was an accident. It was a case of small time fun which had gone grotesquely and horribly wrong.
