The main question that will be being developed to try and answer is why the educational process has become so extreme in today's age. It has been found that it takes far more than a little bit of artistic integrity to break into this field, compared to when it first became popular. There are researchers who claim that because it has become so intricate and has blanketed out into other areas such as advertising, artistic design, management, aesthetics, and consulting positions, it is far more demanding than what it use to be.

This dissertation will provide sufficient research to reach a comprehensive understanding of why this is and what the outcome for many students of graphic design actually are. As has been stated this research is going to thoroughly examine the changes that have taken place within the theory of the educational process of graphic design in order to gain a more in depth idea of what the confines are towards gaining a degree in graphic design. Some other issues will be examined in this initial theorization as well such as how these adaptive processes have had an affect on female graphic design students and what the statistical percentage is in today's era of women entering into this field.

Also, one of the main issues of this is going to be centered around trying to determine if the educational system is intermittent enough to cover the full aspect of graphic design. It is presumed by some experts who are already in this career field that the educational system is in default when it comes to focusing on a well-rounded education in the field of artistic design. The reasons for these assumptions will be analyzed and debated, possibly in an argumentative manner to prove that in the past two decades there have been many academic programs developed to enhance upon students knowledge in graphic design.

This will be used to refute the many statements being made that the educational process is limited in this area. It will also be identified as one of the problems that is raising concerns with many who are interested in become certified graphic designers. These and other questions will be researched and answered in highly intellectual and academic manner to provide the sustenance needed to prove that the educational requirements for obtaining a degree in graphic design are worthwhile and necessary in today's decade.

Methods of Research This research will be carried out utilizing the most up to date academic journals which have extensive information into the area of graphic design. These sources will be used to examine how well the educational system is doing in providing college students with the skills they need to be able to excel in the business world in graphic design. Furthermore, these journals will give insight into the history of graphic design and how it has evolved through the decades. In order to fully understand how it has changed historic documents might be used to show how it was developed and what its purpose was from the past to the present.

Also there will be utilization of periodicals, magazines, artistic websites, and possibly two phone interviews with graphic designers who have
