Extract of sample "Cuban Revolution and Che Guevara"

The Cuban war culminated in the overthrow of Fulgencio Bautista's government and the ongoing implementation of social and economic programs by the new government since the overthrow of the Batista government, including the implementation of Marxist policies. One of the popular advocates of the Cuban revolution is Che Guevara and he is considered the key figure in ousting Batista. Just like Hitler, he used art to propagate information. He created Radio Rebelde in February 1958 which broadcasted news to the Cuban people. This became the medium of communication between the rebels and also a medium for recruiting more rebels.  Men such as Che Guevara throughout history have fought as well as triumphed and lost revolutions that shaped our lives now.

The battle has been very inhuman and many soldiers shed blood and lost their lives in these battles. War and the revolution have this implication of having to use force and power over those who are weak and oppressed. Describe a specific type of creative production created by humans, it is called Art. Che made use of art to revolt against the tyranny of the existing administration. Aesthetic value is a characteristic of every artwork. There should be a sense of beauty and pleasantness with the product of the human.

Art has several purposes. It can be for human expression, a part of a ritual or to symbolize a feeling or idea. The definition of art can be vague and it cannot be limited by a specific meaning. Human creativity is the main driving force of art. Some people may think that art is just a piece of work that has no significant purpose but to fill our aesthetic needs. Che Guevara proved that this statement is a great fallacy for since the emergence of man art has already proved itself notable of utilitarian value.

The weapons that the first people used are already considered art itself for it is a product of the human mind to fulfill a human need for protection and hunt for food. So there is a concrete expression of aesthetic sense and utilitarian sense in its early form. Art has shown its exemplary power to affect social circumstances such as the power it has given Che Guevara through the Cuban War. The revolutions involved many artists in inspiring and motivating people by communicating new ideals through their art.

This meant educating the public, and discussing with citizens which were considered the central part of the process of social healing. They also wrote slogans for the revolution and they made public speeches for the people to understand. The Artists became the architects of society.

Possibly in these deprived times of continuously variable distinctiveness and associations, the desire of an explorer who changed nations and overcame limitations and ruined down restrictions devoid of once divulging his essential faithfulness gives the impatient youth of our time with a most advantageous arrangement, instructing them in a stern center of ethical importance while at the same time appealing to their modern wandering desire. To those who will never go behind in his path, sunken as they are in a world of pessimism, self-centeredness, and frenzied consumption, nothing could be more vicariously rewarding than Che's contempt for material console and daily wishes.

One might propose that it is Che's detachment, the obvious impracticality of duplicating his life anymore that makes Che so memorable. "The power of the earth should take heed: deep inside that T-shirt where we have tried to trap him, the eyes of Che Guevara are still burning with impatience" (Anderson, p.78)
