Democracy has been the best way of politics so far in any country. This can be proved statistically and by the development achieved by the countries that follow democracy. For a perfect democracy voter's turnout should be 100 percent but in reality that is impossible. Still majority should vote; the recent problem that United States has experience is the decline in the number of voters. United States is not the only country that is facing this problem. The 3 basic reasons that a person should vote in America are:1.
It is the single most effective way to make your voice heard.2. It is the right of every person.3. It decides on how a person would lead his or her life in the future. The first reason that voting is the most effective way a person can make his or her voice heard is a very strong point to convince a person in favor of voting. If a person votes he is making sure that he wants the government to know which candidate is best according to him or her. In a huge country like United States with a large population a single person's voice can only be heard with the help of voting.
Voting enables a people to raise his or her voice or opinion on pending laws, ordinances, and it also enables them to decide who takes charge of the state offices. The second reason is a general reason but is a very big fact. It's the right of every citizen to vote as all the laws, rules and regulation that would be implemented later by the elected party would directly influence the person. It also makes sure that citizens select the people who will be the leaders of their country.Voting makes it impossible for someone or one party to become a monopoly and stay in the office for more than the legal time.
Being a citizen of any country and utilizing the resources of that country it's a persons divine right to vote. The third reason for voting is related to the shaping of a persons life according to his vote. It's a universal fact that every person should live the way he or she wants; the only best way to achieve this is by voting. Sometimes parties are elected to power with a very small margin and the other party could have won if all the people that were entitled to vote would have registered and actually voted.
The people who don't vote are at a loss as they let others decide that what is good for them and how they will be living their lives.SummaryAlthough the 3 reasons discussed above that highlight the importance of voting are interrelated and overlap each other at certain points, but if seen with greater depth are quite interesting and convincing. These three points can be discussed in greater detail as they cover large aspects of a human's right and his obligations towards his country. Voting brings out the true essence of supporting your country and it shows your love for your country as voting shapes up the future of a country.
