SMA Alloys: Background The Shape Memory Alloy is technological evolution which has transformed the security surveillance system internationally. This development is the reflection of the environment and modularity affect which as magnified the scope of security services. The success of this technological hallmark is subject to the capacity of the stakeholders; the airport and civil aviation authorities have expressed their resolve and determination to ensure employment of this system. SMA Alloys: Objective 1.

The research will discuss the chemical and physical attribute of SMA i.e. silver-cadmium alloy. 2. The research will verify the material characteristics, and will scientifically confirm the fact that this material has the ability to retain its original geometry after undergoing deformation.3. The research will capture will deformation process of the material, and the significance of the temperature variation above transformation temperature. 4. The physical and chemical attributes of the material will be explored against increase and decrease in of transformation pressure. 5. The physical properties including forced stresses, strains and stiffness of the SMA will be covered.6. Under transformation temperature, the alloy undergoes crystalline reversible solid state phase; and its material will restructure from marten-site to austenite.

The attribute of the SMA is that it will transform into two distinct structural forms below and above the transformation material. This hypothesis shall be verified during research[1,2]. 7. The materials which essentially present the characteristics of SMA includes,a. Alloys of Copper / Aluminium / Nickelb. Alloys of Zinc / Copper / Aluminiumc. Alloys of Nickel / Titaniumd. Alloys of Gold / Cadmiume. Alloys of Nickel / Aluminiumf. Alloys of Copper / Ting. Alloys of Copper / Zinch. Alloys of Manganese / Copperi.

Alloys Iron / Manganese / Silicon [2,3]The research will provide detailed description and application of these materials. SMA Alloys: Methods The research work will be referred from journals and academic libraries. The research and development by the scientists on this metallurgy shall be revealed and explored through journals and research papers. The references o experiments shall be provided; it is on record that several experiments have been conducted to verify that SMA materials reversible solid state transformation.

The experiments shall be referred to verify the composition of the alloys in SMA, the transformation temperature of the material is controlled and determined by the composition, manufacturing process, and physical conditions [4]. The findings of the impact, hardness and non-destructive testing shall be captured in the paper; these materials have the property to sustain significant bending and torsion-al forces. It has observed that these material tend to seize when establishing contact with other materials; these materials therefore exhibit high co-efficient.

However such characteristics are essential for security surveillance at airports to firmly confirm the type and nature of material being transported. These materials have good life, and are resistant against corrosion. The alloys have higher ratio of strength to weight, and are suitable replacement of stainless steel products; however it is the cost of the material which has restricted its commercial and industrial applications. The research will explore the possibility of producing cheap products by design modification, and process improvement [4].

The ASME and API standards shall be referred to seek information on the properties, application and characteristics of the SMA materials; "the SMA has high strength i.e. above 1200MPa and their heat treatment make them strong and hardened with minimum surface imperfection"[3].The manufacturing process for the SMA materials shall be referred.
