  • In the US, the market captured by this product is nearly 80% as of now, which has declined a bit due to the entrance of competitors.

 

Weaknesses

  • A possible weakness is that it's a relatively newer product to the market so it is difficult to anticipate the response.
  • 8 out of every 10 cases are successful in general by the utilization of this drug. Therefore, the 20% failure may even be the first-time users, spreading the wrong word of mouth for the brand.
  • There are short-term and long-term side effects of the drug.
    • Short-term effects would include headache, flushing, dyspepsia, nasal congestion, abnormal vision, etc.
    • Long-term effects would include but are not limited to, complete dependency on such products and other medication for all issues.

 

Opportunities

  • The opportunity lies in the fact that there lies sexual arousal difficulty amongst most women in Germany
  • Alongside, there is also a lack of sex drive in women
  • It can be an unsaid need of the market, creating another success story in Germany.
  • Sex is quite common in Germany; nearly 85% of females from the age of 14 are non-virgins; the percentage for the age bracket of 14-17 is around 82%, which shows a greater potential in the market.
  • Statistics also reveal that males tend to have relations with other women apart from their life partners, and the reason is a lack of sex drive.

 

Threats

  • A bigger threat is that of market acceptance level being unknown
  • An even bigger threat is the threat of failure
  • Apart from these threats, there is also a lack of experience/exposure to the German market
  • Reluctance in much of the target market to accept this lack of sexual arousal can be another huge threat.
  • The long-term side effects of such medication can eventually cause the product to fail.
  • The immediate side effects of the product can also cause a massive issue for the brand.
  • The most densely populated age bracket in females in Germany is that of 45-55, and they might not consider this product as for them.

 

Trends

The trend is now moving towards medication more than anything and medical facilitations are becoming more and more common through the usage of pills; people are using pills for everything. So after men, also women are beginning to utilize the sex arousing pills to ensure that they are better in bed than before. The trend, therefore, supports the launch of this product anywhere in the world, let alone Germany but success in the first step is essential to boost confidence. Thus, success in Germany may lead to the footmarks for success worldwide. There is just a need for a click and the production would go boom and the sales figures would touch the skies.
