American History Second American Revolution (Civil War-1861-65 0 Introduction The Second American Revolution (1861-65) called, as Civil War by the historians and it was the important event in the American history that shook the people of the country and carries through chaotic mayhem. The Civil war had been changed the Government and constitution of the America and it is given the new out look towards to abolition of slavery and world look at this changes of America as a nation and government towards the first step of the new revolution of abolition of slavery. The Civil war was a movement, which change the nation itself, and around the world it seen as the revolution that is leads to the final verdict of abolition of slavery and it was the initiative of worldwide movement against the slavery. This was the war arose from the conflict between the two part of the country which divided in two South and North, which compete each other in economic, social and political aspects eventhough they speak same language and use same currency, but they divided on the principle of slavery. The slavery, which was practiced from the British colonial period and it had an end by the proclamation of freedom and liberty by the president Abraham Lincoln in 1863. Abraham Lincoln who considered as the true revolutionist, who played a crucial role in designing the final outcome of the Civil War which was the liberty and justice to all and everyone get the freedom and happiness and the union of the states which divided before the Civil War and formed new independent confederate. 2.0 Formation of Confederate States of America Abraham Lincoln, the known opponent of the slavery elected as the president of the United States of America, and which raise alarm the threat to the practice of slavery, which is carried from the British colonial period. Before take oath as president, the thirteen southern state together form a new state and re-united from the constitution of the United States of America which was upheaval task put forward to him as President. "AN ORDINANCE to dissolve the union between the State of South Carolina and other States united with her under the compact entitled "The Constitution of the United States of America." We, the people of the State of South Carolina, in convention assembled, do declare and ordain, and it is hereby declared and ordained, That the ordinance adopted by us in convention on the twenty-third day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty-eight, whereby the Constitution of the United States of America was ratified, and also all acts and parts of acts of the General Assembly of this State ratifying amendments of the said Constitution, are hereby repealed; and that the union now subsisting between South Carolina and other States, under the name of the "United States of America," is hereby dissolved".1 The South Carolina was the first state to passes the ordinance to secede from the constitution of United States of America. In 1860 the people of the South Carolina assembled for the convention of re-union from the constitution of United States of America and passed the ordinance to dissolve from the constitution and perform as an independent state. Followed by South Carolina, other seven states decided to dissolve from the United State of America and later they formed a new state Confederate States of America and Jefferson Davis named as the president of the state. Later the state Virginia and other four states also joined in the new state Confederate States of America. After the formation of confederate State of America, the southern state confederation seized the Federal fort forcefully even though the president Buchanan, the predecessor of Linclon, had refused it. Later Abraham Lincoln inaugurated as the president of United States of America, he recaptured the fort from Confederate after the heavy bombardment in that area which is considered as the beginning of the Civil War between the southern and northern states of America and also it leads to re-union of Virginia and other four state to Confederate and section of State Virginia and formation of West Virginia which was refused to union with Confederates. Pg-132) 3.0 Abraham Lincoln and Civil War Abraham Lincoln predeceased by Buchanan as the President of United State of America and he was awaiting of obstacle in front of him like the re-union and new confederation of state formed by the states, the Confederate of States of America and before he inaugurated as the president and two week before this Jefferson Davis took oath as the president of Confederate of States of America. The first task, which he took up, is re capturing of Federal Fort and which leads to the beginning of the Civil War. (Blez. Pg-11). Lincoln was elected as the president of America and he is considered to be revolutionist president of America. He was opposite to the slavery and abolishment of slavery was the not agenda, but the break up of Civil War and its after effect leads him to abolish the Slavery. "I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so".2 In the inaugural speech Abraham Lincoln expressed his view over the abolishment of slavery, which was against by the southern states, which were dominated by the white people, and northern states were urged for the freedom from the slavery. In his electoral campaign and also in the inaugural speech the president never expressed that he is mount to attack on slavery and he knows that which is not as easy as it think and the legal and constitutional consequence which it may follows. The conflict between the two parts of the country, which emerged in economical, social and cultural aspects and catalyzed by the issue of the freedom from the slavery, which already practiced in the northern states. The out come of the civil war which is the demolition of southern over power on the constitution of united States of America and the proclamation of freedom from the slavery which is considered as the first step towards the revolution of the freedom from the slavery which spread across the world. 4.0 Civil War and American Revolution The Second American Revolution, which is started in 1861 which is eighty three years after the first American Revolution for the independence in 1776. They realized the independence from the British colonies after the first revolution of seven years and which inherited the British principle of slavery. The Slavery was infected all over the country, but the voice against the slavery and demand for the freedom raised by the people of the country, and the effects of this the northern states of the United States of America accepted this principles and developed the rules of abolishment of slavery. The southern state who were against the abolishment of slavery separated from the United States of America and the demand for the abolishment of slavery in these parts of the nation are suppressed by the over power. During the Civil War it act as catalyst and which leads to the complete abolishment of Slavery in United States of America. (Kingseed. Pg-89). The Civil War in United States of America not only witnessed the resolution of abolishing the slavery but also witnesses the strengthening of the constitution and union of the state, which split into two parts of the country, south and north, which fought each other in the Civil War. Demise of the newly formed Confederate State of America and union of all the state of United States of America and strengthening of its constitution is one of the major out come from the Civil War. 5.0 Civil War and American Constitution The Civil War in the United States of America, which was held between the two parts of the nation, which forced to made changes in the constitution of United States of America and new rule enacted for the liberty and freedom of the people. The important impact of the war was that leads to the complete abolishment of slavery and announcement of liberty and freedom to everyone that is enacted by the president Abraham Lincoln. "That on the 1st day of January, A.D. 1863, all persons held as slaves within any State or designated part of a State the people whereof shall then be in rebellion against the United States shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free; and the executive government of the United States, including the military and naval authority thereof, will recognize and maintain the freedom of such persons and will do no act or acts to repress such persons, or any of them, in any efforts they may make for their actual freedom".3 The president Lincoln enacted the law of complete abolishment of slavery and offer liberty to all which came in to force by 1st January 1863. The Civil wars in United States create history, which leads to emancipation proclamation and union of states. In the Civil war Lincoln speed up the process of demise of confederacy of states and racial integration, which was not acceptable majority of American. Abraham Lincoln himself admitted that the emancipation proclamation was first war measure, unlike preliminary proclamation; it was a revolutionary document, which spread across the world as the initiative of a new revolution. Pg-380). 6.0 Conclusion The Second American Revolution which is called as the Civil War between two parts of American which is not only the begin of the revolution in America but it spread message of revolution and needs of change to the world. Out come of the Civil War was the union of the states separated from the United States of America and proclamation against the slavery and announcement of liberty and freedom to everyone.
