The childcare education has been given substantial importance at different forums. The focus on childcare education is to such an extent the international agencies including United Nations is committed towards the childhood development programs. It is imperative that besides offering educational opportunities to the children, this age group shall be offered opportunities where they can learn and excel. It is more important to involve the children into activities through which their skills in particular the analytical and critical skills shall be improved. It is important that focus shall be towards the development of the overall personality and characteristics of the student, which is not truly possible through under literacy or access to education program. In this specific case, I would consider a child who has received impartial warmth and affection from his parents and family. The child is victim of ignorance, and therefore his overall influence and participation in the social and family affairs is minimum. Circle of Courage Philosophy - Application Under Circle of Courage Philosophy, it is important to incorporate belonging, mastery, independence and generosity in the child. The child shall have sense of association and belonging, this will make a child more responsible and adaptable towards the society. The sense of leadership is important trait of personality, and the child shall be trained to lead and play significant role in the activity. It is important that child shall act independently; the emotions and actions of the child should be independent and should be based upon his personal understanding (Larry, 2005). It is important that under no circumstances, the child shall get under the influence of another person except for parents. The mentoring of parents is instrumental in inflicting the sense of leadership. The act of generosity is important trait, it is important the child shall be protected from any unethical practices, and therefore a child who has observed the acts of generosity will eventually inherit the same quality. The generous child will ensure that the child has social aptitude, and the child is cooperative at all levels. Such trait will improve the socializing qualities of the child which is essential because development of a child as introvert model shall never be encouraged. It is important that the child is protected from the social injustice, alienation, vanity and conviction (Larry, 2005). At every early stage of his early, the mind of the child is fluid form which takes the shape of bowl it is pour into; therefore it is important to be careful in the treatment of such child. It is important that such child shall be protected from troubled and difficult situation. Often parents put their children in troubled situation to assess their reaction and approach. This is an incorrect approach, it is recommended never to put the child under any test. With reference to this specific case of neglected child, it is important that the child shall be given love and affection, rather such child shall be the hub of love and affection from all the family members, in particular the parents (Frederick, 2008). It is important that child shall never be subjected to state of confusion during learning period. One of the greatest scientists ever - Einstein advised that it is important to use simple vocabulary in any profession so that communication is clear and understandable by everyone. The same is true for a child; the child shall be subject to training without any confusion (Larry, 2005). The child shall be encouraged positively, and shall be appreciated and adored for his accomplishment, irrespective of time period. It is important that child should be considered as child, and no expectations shall be associated with a child without justification or homework. It is important as mentor for neglected child, that he should be exposed to the society and community around him. The child should have a feeling that he is part of that society; it is the responsibility of his mentor or parents to develop such feelings. Once the sense of belonging and affiliation exists in the child towards the society he lives in, then it would be easy for child to communicate and develop association. It is important as parent or mentor to develop competency in the child. The sense of achievement and the joy of accomplishment shall be practiced so that child is able to perceive and enjoy the same. The child shall essentially be introduced to certain challenges with guidance, and upon successful completion the child shall be offered rewards. The motivation to excel shall be for self-growth, and should never excite a inferiority or superiority complex. With reference to independence, the child should learn to act and perform independently. Independence and dominance are two distinct traits, and it is important that child should learn to act independently. Such trait can be developed by putting the child into challenges. The element of selfishness should never exist in a child because this will have severe consequences when the child turns young. It is important that the child shall be involved in certain acts of generosity as helping hand. Response Ability Pathways - Application The intent of this RAP program is to develop responsible child. It is imperative to invest efforts towards making child responsible because this will eventually develop positive impact on the personality on the child during in his future days. For example, the boy-child shall be taught how to arrange a tool kit, or organise his toys. The child shall be instructed that toys are his belongings, and its protection and cleanliness is his responsibility. As mentor, I will develop weekend checklist for the child, as per the checklist the child shall be instructed to clean and check his toys, clothes, stationary items and tool boxes – this will make the child responsible towards these items (Frederick, 2008). Under the RAP philosophy, it is important to initially connect with the child and once understanding and communication is maintained the child shall be informed and clarify shall be achieved with the child about the events and tasks. Once connection is restored and clarification is received, the child shall be encouraged to respect the participants of the entire process. This will eventually make the child more responsible towards the team and job. As per RAP technique, I have to develop problem for the child, and then seek clarification to resolve the problem, once the solution is identified it is important to implement and at the same time respect the participants. I would personally prefer involving the child in certain challenges in which he has to find objects, and will be provided with hints. I will prefer that the family of the child acts as supporting character, where each member of the family has hint for the child. Once child has received all the hints, and have been able to perform the task, the child shall proactively approach all the members and thank them for their support. This will bring responsibility in the child, responsibility towards the task and the members who supported throughout (Larry, 2005). At school level, it is important shall child should feel his responsibility towards his other colleagues. To make student better understand this concept, the students shall witnessed the love and affection with which the animals live among each other, and this can be communicated through animated documentaries. After each documentary ends, the group shall be involved in different challenges – to learn and apply (Larry, 2005). Considering an example, every child inside classroom shall be given piece of the puzzle. The problem shall be communicated to the students, and clarification shall be issued. Once the problem solution is started, and students come across each other for assistance. This will foster social affiliation among each other, and will make them feel responsible towards each other for support and assistance. Therefore at the end of the activity, the student will learn key element of social networking, and will realise the strength of working as team, and furthermore will understand the responsibility which each member shares with other.
