Amongst the basic needs, food plays a vital role in the human body. For a healthy lifestyle, individuals are advised to have a healthy meal to benefit the body and keep it in good shape. However, most individuals fail to attain good health because they misunderstand the meaning of healthy food. Some might assume that good food is based only on quantity, which turns out to be wrong. A healthy diet considers both the quality and quantity of the meal. Health food implies to a meal that constitutes all classifications of food in the right proportions. The meal contains carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, water, and minerals. When the diet is well balanced, there are several benefits the body gains like reduced risks of some diseases related to diets, betters the operation and condition of the body, and enhances the comfort of the body. Therefore, eating healthy turn out to be essential for human life to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

To begin with, eating a healthy diet helps to regulate body weight. Gaining body weight is supported by taking foods rich in sugars, fats, and fried foods. Habitual intake of such foods promotes the gaining of the weight of an individual. Extreme gains in body weight lead to diseases like obesity that is fatal and damage the operations of some body organs. Besides, individuals in need of loose weights are advised to observe a healthy diet as it plays a significant role in their weight loss process. It is made a success by having meals rich in fruits and vegetables and avoiding high sugar, fatty, and protein. Therefore, eating healthy with no doubts regulates the bodyweight of individuals.

Also, eating healthy prevents individuals from diabetes. Diabetes is known to be a disease caused by increased blood glucose concentration in the body. It is a harmful disease that affects the operation of the human body, might lead to amputation or even death. In most cases, diabetes is caused because of one's eating routine. An individual prone to having meals concentrated with sugars in high quantities is susceptible to getting diabetes. However, this can be avoided by balancing off the meal consumed in terms of quality and quantity. In this case, it is advisable to limit the quantities of foods with high sugar content, a lot of fat, and fried foods. Increased consumption of the named classes of foods will lead to increased body weight and high blood sugar level concentration, leading to diabetes. Generally, a balanced diet can enable one to avoid this fatal disease.

Apart from diabetes, eating healthy helps to reduce the risk of cancer infection. According to research, obesity, a nutritional disease, is connected to several cancer classes. Obesity leads to cancer either through a downregulation in metabolism or inflammatory pathways (Seiler, Annina, et al 14-27). Erythrogenic obesity plays a crucial role when it comes to breast cancer. Once excess fat is stored in the adipose tissue, there is an excess production of cytokines, which would consecutively lead to inflammation that allows the growth of tumors. The tumors are known to be cancerous. Therefore, to prevent this type of cancer, individuals are urged to take foods balanced in constituents to avoid obesity. Besides breast cancer, the consumption of foods rich in fruits and fibers has the least chances of getting affected by colorectal cancer. Antioxidants such as fruits, nuts, and vegetables reduce the chances of tissues being damaged due to radiation that causes cancer (Seiler, Annina, et al 14-27). Therefore, a proper diet with foods rich in vegetables, fruits, and nuts is essential to prevent cancer risks.

A proper diet helps in the development of healthy teeth and bones. Since a proper diet also involves minerals, the growth and development of teeth are favored. Foods rich in minerals like calcium and magnesium are said to vital for the growth of bones. Healthy bones help prevent disorders like osteoporosis, Paget disease, and osteoarthritis at an older age. Foods that contain these minerals are like milk, broccoli, cabbage, and legumes. Therefore, it is suitable to have meals that are constituted by the mentions of foods to favor bone growth.

There are several other reasons why it is essential to eat healthy that include good memory and prevention of heart-related complications. Foods rich in vitamin D, C, and E are essential for developing one's memory. Moreover, omega-3 fatty acids present in eggs, polyphenols, fish also play an essential part in improving memory. Excessive consumption of fatty and fried foods might lead to cardiovascular diseases caused by the deposition of cholesterol. These diseases are heart-related complications that lead to death.

There quite some classes of foods which have various effects on the body. Proteins are one of them, and its principal source is meat. Proteins are known to be bodybuilding foods since they play a vital role in developing body tissues. Carbohydrates are sugars, and they are a source of energy to the body. Excessive consumption of carbohydrates might lead to obesity and diabetes. The consumption of sugars is therefore supposed to be regulated to avoid the health complications mentioned. Fats and oils are also a class of foods. Fats can be saturated or unsaturated. This class of food is sourced from nuts, cooking oil, ghee, and butter. They are vital in the production of hormones and maintaining body tissues. However, when trans fats are in excess, they lead to deposition of cholesterol, which results in heart failures. Water helps in digestion and maintaining body temperatures through sweating. And lastly, vitamins and minerals acquired from vegetables and fruits play a significant role as antioxidants, they improve the body's immune system and growth of bones.

Being physically active implies being engaged in exercises that primarily help to reduce the possibility of developing health complications such as diabetes and boosting one's health. Apart from diabetes, physical activities help prevent the risk of heart attacks by burning out cholesterol in the body, therefore lowering the body's cholesterol levels (Warburton, Darren, and Shannon Bredin 2044). It also helps to manage weight. Also, physical activities promote the development of bones and joints since they are made active. As a result, bone-related diseases are minimized. It leads to the relaxation of moods, a better feeling as a result of using more energy to stretch the body muscles. Physical activities can also reduce blood pressure (Warburton, Darren, and Shannon Bredin 2044). It is made a success by allowing the burning of excess fats present in blood vessels allowing the flow of blood with ease; reducing blood pressure results in low cases of heart attacks.

In summary, it is imperative to observe the kinds of food we take to have a healthy lifestyle. A healthy diet comprises of all classes of foods in pleasing proportions. Failure to consider the diet leads to health complications such as diabetes, obesity, heart failure, and cancer. These diseases are the most common causes of death and bad health in the current generation. To prevent the rising number of such cases, it is an urge that individuals take foods rich in fruits, vegetables, vitamins, and minerals. All the classes of foods have various effects on the functioning of the body; however, fats and foods with sugar content should be balanced in consumption. Lastly, physical exercise plays a vital role in the prevention of chronic medical diseases.
