In this book the author May and Triggle has mentioned the various cosmetic treatments that a person can undergo. The pros and cons of different cosmetic surgeries have been mentioned. The book mainly emphases on Botox and the cosmetic treatments related to Botox. The article is very informative as it mentions in detail the history and development of various cosmetic treatments. Not only facial treatments but all sorts of possible cosmetic treatments have been discussed in very detail in this book. The benefits and threats related to a cosmetic treatment have also been mentioned in quite detail. It is a very resourceful book. 2. Jimenez-Shahed, J. (January 01, 2012). A new treatment for focal dystonias: incobotulinumtoxinA (Xeomin®), a botulinum neurotoxin type A free from complexing proteins. Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment,8, 13-25. In this article the author Jimenez have mentioned in very detail the disease dystonia. He has explained that it is a disease in which there are abnormal muscle movements and certain body parts take abnormal postures. Many researchers have been carried out in order to find out a proper cure or treatment to the disease. After conducting many researched botulinum toxin have been discovered as the treatment for dystonia. Two different forms of botulinum toxin have been used but they result in increasing the risk of antigenicity because they contain complex proteins and hence they have been declared as an inappropriatetreatment. However a new chemical incobotulinumtoxinA have been discovered which is a botulinum neurotoxin of type A which is found free of complex proteins, hence they have been declared as a suitable treatment for dystonia. In this book the author Lipham have mentioned in extensive details about the various uses and applications of Botox in the field health care. In the beginning he has mentioned all the applications and uses in general and later on he has discussed each application and use in great detail. It has been mentioned that Botox has been and is being used in many cosmetic treatments and clinical applications. The book is very helpful and resourceful for everyone as it presents information in an easy language. The information that is provided is very precise and clearly explained. The benefits and dangers related to all treatments have been clearly mentioned. 4. United States. (2007). Botox. Rockville, MD: FDA Office of Women's Health. In this book the author has mentioned in detail about Botox. The book covers all aspects and topics related to Botox. The book is very informative because the topic of Botox has been discussed in extensive details. The book covers the history of Botox in detail then proceeds to explain the chemical structure and chemical and physical properties of Botox. The different possible types and forms have also been discussed. The various derivatives that can be obtained by using Botox with different chemicals in different ratios have also been discussed in detail. Then the use and application of Botox in various fields have been widely discussed. The use of Botox in different treatments has also been mentioned in detail. It is a very useful book. 5. Botulinum Toxin-A use in Paediatric Hypertonia: Canadian Practice Patterns. The Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences. Le Journal Canadien Des Sciences Neurologiques, 39, 4, 508-15. This article is basically about a study which was conducted in order to carry out a comparative study between the method adopted by the physicians of Canada and the internationally used methods for treating hypertonia in children. In Canada the method that is adopted is the use of botulinum toxin-A for treating hypertonia in children. The study was carried out to find out the most appropriate technique for the treatment. A survey was conducted among the Canadian physicians to determine the different aspects of the treatment with Botox. The article concludes by mentioning the results of the survey and informs the readers that treatment with Botox have been quite efficient. It is a very resourceful article. 6. In this article the authors Yokoyama, Chancellor, Oguma, Yamamoto, Suzuki, Kumon and Nagai have mentioned that botulimun toxin A have been quite successful and efficient in treating bladder infections. The success of botulinum toxin A is because it helps to stop the flow of certain liquid which results in bladder infections. This article is basically a literature review that discusses the proficiency of Botox in the treatment of various diseases like neurogenic detrusor over activity, idiopathic detrusor over activity, benign prostatic hyperplasia, etc. The article mentions that using Botox as the treatment for various diseases and using Botox injections have been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration. A guide to dosing in the treatment of cervical dystonia and blepharospasm with Xeomin^(R): A new botulinum neurotoxin A. Parkinsonism and Related Disorders, 18, 5, 441-445. In this article Pagan and Harrison have discussed the new form of botulinum toxin that is incobotulnum toxin A. All other forms and types of botulinum toxin have complex proteins in their chemical structure and hence they tend to speed up the process of antigenicity, but incobotulnum toxin A is a new form of botulinum toxin A which is free from all sorts of complex proteins. It has been mentioned in the article that at first incobotulnum toxin A was used as a treatment for inappropriate muscle movements. It was used for the first time in Germany. Later on it started being used in the United States when it got recognized and approved by the United Stated Food and Drug Administration. With the passage of time incobotulnum toxin A is being used as a treatment for many diseases and it has been proved bery beneficial in curing the diseases. 8. In this article the authors Okumus, Coskun, Erbagci, Tatar, Comez, Kaydu, Yayuspai, Gurler have mentioned a study which was conducted in order to compare the working and efficiency of botulinum toxin injections before any ocular surgery and anesthesia. The main purpose of the study was to find out that whether anesthesia could be replaced by botulinum toxin A. The study was conducted out on a number of patients to get the most accurate results.
