The business environment in which the enterprise has been operating properly evaluated in the report where the strategies the company has been employing in the process of addressing the various areas affecting the operations of the business. The business environments that have been affecting the operations of the "Hungry Jack" involve internal and external factors are analyzed. SWOT analysis has been used as the tool for evaluating the environment in which the business has been operating. In the internal business environment analysis, the strengths and the weaknesses of the business are analyzed to explain the factors affecting the operations of the business in a better way. The analysis of the external environment has involved the evaluation of the opportunities and the threats that affect the performance of the organization. Lastly, recommendations concerning the new products that "Hungry Jack" can introduce in the market have been analyzed. In the recommendations entails the target market of the new product, description of the new product, customer value preposition and the justifications for the new product given and the strategy employed. It is an Australian company that has been expanding its operations by increase the number of outlets and sales network in different regions of the world. It has been employing franchising strategy in expanding its operations where it has been successfully established many outlets in various regions globally. Hungry Jack has kept its product competitive in the market by ensuring that it offers high-quality products (Alina, 2012). The company has set procedures for service delivery and standards that the franchisees has to meet in their operations. The setting of standards has been playing a crucial role in ensuring that the company maintains its image of high quality in the market. The strategies that Hungry Jack has been employing has been considering the business environment changes that has been taking place in the market. Keeping pace with the business environment changes has ensured that the products of the company are relevant in the market as they have been able to meet the needs of the customers better in the market (Casey, 2013). Hungry Jack has already realized benefits of technology in its operations where it has automated many of its operations to make the company effective and efficient in the industry. Background of Hungry Jack Hungry Jack has more than 390 locations in Australia alone. It is said to be the second largest burger king franchise globally. Hungry Jack has been carrying out research aiming at establishing the changes in the taste of the consumers in the market. The research has been assisting the company in adjusting its operations and the products to meet the needs of the market better than the competitors. The market knowledge acquired from the research has led to constant adjustments of the products where the products are modified and developed to meet the market diverse needs (Casey, 2013). As a result, the operations of the business has remained relevant and the products to meet the expectations of the clients. Besides, the company has been using the technological advancements in ensuring that the products are designed in a very innovative way that can ensure that there are unique features of the products that can guarantee competitiveness of the products. The innovation strategy of the business has made Hungry Jack very competitive in the industry making its products competitive and access a large market share in the industry. Besides, Hungry Jack has invested a lot in the development of the skills and expertise of the employees. There has constantly been the training of the employee in all the outlets in the various regions of the world. The employees are being trained in the most recent ways of operation to ensure that the services and the products that are offered can compete well in the market. As a result, the expertise of the employees has remained relevant in the market hence assisting in coming up with very innovative strategies that can guarantee business success. The leadership of the company has also contributed allot to the current competitiveness of the can in the various parts of the globe (Casey, 2013). The company has been employing transformational leadership where the employees and other stakeholders have been involved in business affairs. Transformational leadership has been crucial in assisting the employees to enhance their productivity. The performance of the organization has been improved due to the leadership used by the management as the employees are motivated and committed to ensuring success of the company. The engagement of the stakeholders especially the employees has been crucial in ensuring that the change is managed in a unique and a better way. The employees are made aware of the changes taking place and the reason for the change making them willing and committed to ensuring that the formulated strategies are successfully implemented. Besides, product development in the company has involved the customers in the process of developing the products where the customers have been encouraged to give their opinions concerning the areas that need to be improved in the service provision process (Alina, 2012). The engagement of the various stakeholders of the company has been crucial in ensuring that there are good relations between the management and the stakeholders. SWOT table Strengths 1. Strengths Hungry Jack has a strong brand image that has ensured that the company is competitive in the market making it experience increased sales volume. Customers in the market are associating the products of Hungry Jack as of high quality (Rani, 2010). Besides, Hungry Jack has introduced an online system that has played a crucial role in making the service delivery of the business very competitive. The low pricing strategy of the company has also been affecting the competitiveness of the business as it has employed a low pricing strategy making its products competitive. Besides, the customers are allowed to participate in the designing of the products; hence, helping in meeting the market needs (Klein, 2011). This has been made possible by the corporate governance that has been said to be strong hence ensuring a leadership that has been engaging the stakeholders. Weaknesses. The major weaknesses can include increased costs of operation that has been affecting the profits realized by the company. Also, the Hungry Jack’s menu has not been different from that of the rivals making it possible for the products to be substituted (Rani, 2010). External business environment The analysis of the external business environment entails the analysis of the opportunities and the threats facing Hungry Jack. Opportunities The opportunities that Hungry Jack can utilize to enhance the performance of the company can include the growing industry giving the company more chances of expanding its operations to make use of the availed opportunities by the industry growth (Rani, 2010). There has been increased population that has been playing a crucial role in providing a market for the products of the company. Threats Hungry Jack has various threats that have been affecting its operations negatively. First, there has been increasing the change in habits among the consumers towards healthier foods in the market. This has made the company change its operations to meet the changing needs of the consumers leading to increased costs of running the business (Klein, 2011). The increased number of the rivals is the market has been affecting the sales volume of the company negatively. Recommendations The new product that I suggest should be introduced in the menu of Hungry Jack is the junior burger. Junior burger will be target mainly the young generation looking for healthy fast foods. The young generation is looking for foods that are foods that have enough proteins that are essential for body growth. Target market The targeted market includes youth who are still growing. The junior burger has the necessary proteins that are needed for growth. New product description Junior burger contains ground beef, mustard, re-hydrated onions, and ketchup. The new product will be served as double or even triple where the difference is the pickle slice of the ground beef. Therefore, the double junior burger will be containing two pickle slices of the beef patty with the junior triple burger will be containing three pickle slices of the beef patty. Customer value preposition The customers will be in a position to realize the value for their money due to the high quality of the junior burger and the service delivery to the customers. The new product will be in a position to meet the need of the customers who are young and need body building foods. Therefore, the consumers of the new product will be in a position to realize the value of the new product hence increasing its competitiveness in the market (Caples, 2009). Besides, the pricing of the product will be pocket-friendly making the customers able to purchase. Justification Junior burger can be competitive in the market as the larger number of the target population is the young people who are in need of foods that are body building. Considering the fact that many of the competitors of the company have not been offering the beef products at low prices the new product is likely to be competitive. Innovation strategy will be used in the designing of unique features that can make the product different in the market (Sonti, 2010). As a result, the rivals will not be in a position to substitute the new products. Besides, costs leadership strategy need to be employed to ensure that the prices of the new product are low hence increasing the affordability in the market.
