The effectiveness and the appropriateness of the firm’s marketing strategies can be evaluated referring primarily to the firm’s needs and its strategic priorities. The firm’s activities are expanded in many commercial sectors including the ‘land acquisition, finance, planning, architecture, design, build management, marketing and customer service’. The firm has avoided proceeding to innovative marketing plans up today. It is clear through the corporate website that the marketing of the firm’s services is conducted through the widely known marketing tools, i.e. the press and the Internet.

The use of media for the promotion of the firm’s services is not clearly explained – it can be expected that the firm has been involved up today to advertisements promoting through the media. The above marketing choices have led to the limitation of the firm’s profitability (from 1354m pounds in 2007 to 1149.5m pounds for the fiscal year 2008). Of course, both the press and the Internet can be characterized as effective marketing tools but under conditions of strong market competition, the development of innovative marketing techniques is necessary for firms operating in all industrial sectors.

The firm’s managers have been positive to any update of marketing schemes used for the promotion of the firm’s various activities; the issues of cost and time involved should be taken into consideration in advance when making any relevant change. Under the above terms, a series of strategic initiatives – three such initiatives – have been proposed to the firm’s managers.
