This might not necessarily be an authentic manner (Malhotra, 1999). The questionnaire I have developed is in line with the principles of questionnaire design sampling. I have developed it in such a way that it avoids questions that are double-barreled. These are questions where a single question seeks for a response regarding two different topics at the same time. It becomes difficult to respond to such questions in the event that the answer regarding one of the topics is different from that regarding the other topic (Malhotra, 1999).

I have also made the questionnaire in such a way that it does not make the assumption that the respondents are experts in the subject matter. In that regard it does not use technical terms which might make it difficult for effective response to be collected. The questions are all within the capabilities of the respondents. One of the best designs of a sampling process for a survey on telephone is the random sampling technique. This is the best technique to be adopted by HP so as to attract several families to its notebooks and PCs.

It is a probability sampling design where all the members of the sample group have an equal probability of getting chosen to take part in the survey. Random sampling is a very important element for HP’s intentions. . The Random sampling design shall entail calling any number at random without bias and seeking for permission to carry out the survey. Once the respondent grants permission, the researcher carries on and asks the set questionnaire questions in search of answers. The design makes it possible for the research to calculate the sampling error.

A standard deviation of $45 is quite large, and, in turn, getting it requires a relatively large sample size. The management of the restaurant was out to get a very high degree of accuracy, and in that regard it used a very elaborate sampling system. The sampling system that was utilized is the systematic sampling method. This method collects data from a number of the members of the target population in a fixed interval. In this regard, the sample size is set to be relatively high as it is necessary to achieve a high standard deviation.

The method is also perfect for the elimination of errors that are associated with the reduction of the overall accuracy of the sampling process. It is instrumental in achieving the 95% accuracy that the research accrued in the long run. The sample size that would have resulted in the standard deviation of $45 is about 700 clients of the restaurant. In order to ensure that the accuracy and confidence of the sampling process to determine the effectiveness of the advertisement company are high, it is vital to use a relatively high sample size.

This is a sample size that ranges between 70% and 80% of the total population (Yates, 1960). A small sample size would minimize the accuracy and, in turn, the confidence of the sampling process. This is the case since a whole population census is the most reliable form of
