This has however changed in the recent past after consumers and sellers altogether encountered numerous problems ranging from wrong specification to wrong delivery of goods. This case mainly affected clothes and food industries that offer variety of items. For example, it is hard for one to determine the taste of certain food item viewed on the website or determine the fitting of certain dress viewed on the website. Nowadays consumers need to move to the physical shops to do their own selections, but need to get information about the existing product, which is only possible by use technology.

Burger King is one the industries that faced the problems presented by the shift in technology. Burger King Company offers processed fast food materials and has headquarters in Miami, Florida. However, the company also operates several branches in various states in the US, Europe, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. The greatest segment of consumers of products offered by Burger King Company constitutes youths and working class adults who have little time to cook. Burger King operates brick and mortar form of business since effective sales can only take place when individual clients walk in the shop and do their own selections that satisfy their tastes. . The alert and friendship program destined to market Burger King will use GPRS locator that will help in locating consumers within the 2km radius around the shop in Miami.

Activation of the GPRS locator will happen at every mealtime with congruence to the American eating culture. The GPRS locator will be active in morning during breakfast, lunchtime and supper. At every activation time, the GPRS locator will connect with the smart phones of the individual clients and drop image messages displaying various forms of food materials in the stock together with prices. The messages shall be set in such a way that when consumers click on particular image of food then there is generation of automatic reply message to confirm the quantity left and discount allowed on the particular item.

The alert program will further be set in a manner that the system records and manages the most preferred and consumed food material. The system shall also be set in a way that it sends automatic request for client’s suggestions and compliments about the quality of the products and the needed changes to enhance quality of particular products. The findings are then sampled in the main data system that activates and run the GPRS locator. Processing and preparing of food will be in response to the suggestions and compliments made by many clients.

In order to retain consumers and enhance customer loyalty, I will set the alert program in such a way that the GPRS locator detects when an individual client enters and leave the shop. Upon leaving, the program will request for clients’ confirmation on the screen of the smart phone. When confirmed, the system will generate an automatic message of appreciation and points awarded at the end of every visit.
