The paper 'Effectiveness of Strategic Evaluation Tools on the Continuity of Internal Operations" is a good example of a management dissertation. Strategic evaluation tools are essential in the formulation of strategies as they aid in the continuity of operations in most organizations and institutes. In the recent past firms and more so multinationals have found this tool to be crucial and integral in their operations. It is against this background that these researchers seek to determine the effect the use of these strategic tools will have on the continuity of operations. These models help a firm or institution have a competitive advantage over the others and thus the research seeks to lay emphasis on the importance of these tools on the ministry of interior in streamlining local and foreign operations in accordance with the 2014-2016 UAE strategic plan.

The aim of this study is to critically examine and to evaluate the strategic evaluation tools which are used by the Ministry of Interior (MOI) in the United Arab Emirates, the ministry official perceptions on the continuity of operations and the overall formulation and implementation of these strategies. The researcher further hopes to provide greater insight into the importance and the role of strategic tools on the internal operations of organisations in general.

In support of this research, the researcher reviewed previously done studies for purposes of supporting this phenomenological study. Strategic evaluation tools were critically discussed at length and various theories were used to support the applicability of these tools. Most importantly the researcher identified themes which will be used as indicators of assessing the chances of these tools succeeding once implemented. To accomplish this task, a qualitative research approach will be employed as its best suited when analyzing and interpreting answers from semi-structured interviews. The NVivo10 software will be used to code the collected data. This is so because its best suited whenever a researcher is dealing with unstructured data.
