This article lays stress on the importance of motivation. It states that an employee who is contend perform better. This is a chain which follows and makes the employees move from one ladder to the other. To ensure that employees are motivated and perform their task it is important that special attention is paid in the way it is designed. This is an important factor for an organization as individual performance of employees translates into performance of the entire organization. To ensure that employees are motivated and contend it is important to that the job he works on suits him. For this it is most important to design the job that matches with the requirements. This will ensure that employees are able to give their best performance and will ensure that the performance rises. This article says that when an organization looks for an employee it is important to ensure the job design is appropriate. The job should be designed in such a manner that every small aspect that could have a bearing on the employee is considered. This is making companies ensure that special attention is paid to the design on jobs. For this companies are using different tools and mechanism to ensure that employees are motivated with the job and work whole heartedly towards it. Organizations ensure that job is designed as per the specific requirements of the employees so that the performance doesn’t get affected. Improper designing might lead to poor turnover rates which will affect the productivity of the organization so to ensure that it doesn’t happens organization design the job properly. Special attention is also laid to it as it has a direct bearing on the satisfaction level. Organizations try to ensure that employees working on the job associate themselves with the company which will affect their productivity and help the business to grow. Organization keeps the safety aspect in mind while designing the job. They ensure that it is considered as it can have a bearing on the employees health so the see that origination doesn’t create a bad impression and image of the company attention is laid to it. This all factors guide the company to look into factors which they consider very vital for the job and choosing employees and designing the job which matches to it. Organizations look into the skill the employees have. It is a seen phenomenon that employees performing similar task feel de motivated. Rotation helps in this case but for that employees need to have a variety of skills so that they can be transformed to other work even. Organization ensures that there are similar woks in nature but the job is different so that employees can be rotated which will help the employees to ensure that motivation doesn’t die and the employee is able to give the best and organization grows. This is helping organization to ensure that the job are performed in a variety of way and helps the organization to find prospective employees for the future. Organisation to ensure motivation also realizes the importance of giving responsibilities. This helps to en sure that employees are able to recognize themselves. It helps the employees to rake decision for the work which ensures that identifying the task becomes easy. This makes the employees take the burden and having involved in the entire process helps him to deal with the problems in a better way. This also helps to distinguish the role of employees which gives a boost to their motivation level and helps the employees to perform their duties. This helps to ensure that employees are able to identify themselves as provided in the article. The article also says that employees who are able to identify the task are able to bear the responsibility of the task which helps them to work in that direction. Organizations also ensure that the job performed has relevance on other employees. This helps the employee’s morale as when other employees speak about the task performed by the employees motivate him as he finds social recognition. This affects his chances of promotion and increase in pay. It ensures that employee is able to build on that and contribute meaningfully. This is a great tool for the management as using it the organization can lay a foundation for succession planning. Organization are ensuring that identification of the task with the employees becomes easy as organization are creating jobs where employees are able to deliver their best thereby ensuring that employees are able to deliver their best. Organizations are also ensuring that autonomy is given in the job. This helps the employee to perform the job based on his qualities and handling the problems himself ensure that he is motivated more and able to deliver on the requirements of the job. This ensures that the employees are able to recognize and deliver well. Organisations also ensure that feedback is given. This helps the employee to find areas to work upon and also helps to realize the growth and performance till that time. It helps them to take corrective measures and ensure that employees are able to deliver better. Organization thus design and take effective steps to ensure that employees’ motivation leads to satisfaction which transforms into growth for the organization. Thus, employees who are able to do so also get an opportunity for future growth. There are many factors which this article talks about and which conform to the organization demand. I agree with various factors which the article talks about. The most important factor which I agree to is the importance of motivation. This helps to ensure that employees remain with the organization. This helps to bring the best out of employee and ensure that they are able to deliver better. The article talks about empowering the employee with power and responsibility for the job. I agree to it as it will help the employee to perform the task well and will help him take the responsibility. It will also help to find talent for the future. It will help to make the employee to realize the importance of performing and thus will benefit him and the company. The article says about autonomy and I agree to it as it will help the business to come with new ideas. It will help the organization to realize the importance of giving power. It also helps the employee take vital decision which can affect their career. It helps to find talent for the future and ensure that employee can look towards succession planning. The article lays the importance on feed back and I agree to it as it will help to check the performance. It will be a guide to check the performance and organization based on it can change the manner in which the task is performed and ensure that steps are taken to improve it. This will help as a check and help the organization to save on resources. The article lays stress on health which is important as it will create a better image. This has a role to play as the brand in the society can be affected if organizations have a good environment. This will be reflected on the performance and the motivational level. This will help the employee to feel safe and concentrate on the work instead of loosing focus. This article talks about skills rotation of job which helps to improve the productivity which I don’t agree fully. It is a seen phenomenon in banking industry that when employees are rotated their performance dips. This is true fr example a employee acts as a cashier and is rotated to a back office work than his performance gets affected as it requires specialized people for the job. This has an effect on the productivity and morale of the employee dips. The article also talks about variety in skills. I disagree to it as it difficult for an employee to be substantially sound in different skills. It is seen that employees are sound in a limited number of skills although they have knowledge about other thereby affecting the performance if they are shifted regularly. This article assumes that employees have the same talent and skills and can be rotated easily. This is not true in actual business scenario as people have different skills which affect their performance. People are specialist in certain areas and it is difficult to find an employee god in all areas. The article doesn’t consider the importance of training when an employee is rotated. It is important that it is provided. This will teach the employee what he has to do and also make him aware of the environment. It will make the employee know the skills that will be required for the job and will help to ensure that he works towards that. Another assumption made is that the article says that job rotation has a bearing on the performance. This might not be true as the basis of motivation for different employee will be different. Organization need to identify those and use their power to ensure that these areas are worked upon to motivate them. Almost all organization around the world is looking into it. For example, Infosys has been continuously laying stress on designing jobs as per the employee talent. This helps them to ensure that specialist are developed for that job and help them perform better. It is also seen that in the banking sector jobs are created in such a way that it leads to ensure that job matches the requirement. For example, it is seen that a cashier has the responsibility to perform the job of managing the cash efficiently. This is a specialist position and designing the job accordingly helps to ensure it. It is also seen that Starbucks a coffee retail outlet lays importance on designing the job where it helps the employee to identify themselves with the job. This has helped the coffee shop to perform better and deliver on the promises. Even Virgin Blue an airline company has been able to deliver on the job requirements of the employee which has enabled them to deliver better services for to the customer giving them higher customer satisfaction.
