It gives a feeling of finding spiritual fulfilment in an organizational life. There is a need for enhancing self leadership, for entrepreneurs are more capable to lead themselves through gaining knowledge and by registering intellective strategies for getting their lives improved. The substantial attention that are provided to the process of self ascendancy in most of the firms remains limited to scope and is primarily focused on managing themselves that exhibits behaviour which are not inspiring. The term “self-leadership” is focused on in a broad way, comprising self obtruding strategies through which carrying out a task of low fundamental motivational latent can be effectively managed (Stewart, Courtright and Manz 2011, 185-222). Based on a study on training intervention, which was carried out with a control group it is effectively tested the applicability of the term “self-leadership” in a set up problem in an organization. The results recommended the people with the notion of self leadership training, experienced enhanced mental performance, job satisfaction, positive zest, low level of nervousness, in comparison to those people who have not undergone the training. In addition to that, the trainees had revealed a positive response to the training. At the end, the people who have undergone the training, their self efficiency got more enhanced and developed an optimistic perception towards the organizational dilemma in comparison to those who have not received the training on self leadership. Self Leadership in Workplace The key ingredient of success of an organization and an employee’s performance is the perception of self leadership among employees. There have been many records and experiences on how self leadership travels a long distance in building a positive impression of the employees in the organization. In accordance to the research conducted by Siu, and Shi (2010), entitled "Transformational Leadership and Employee Well‐Being: the Mediating Role of Trust in the Leader and Self‐Efficacy”, there is a need of self supervision in the workplace. An organization gains benefit from the employees who are motivated and does not require much supervision as they possess the ability to work independently. The organizational goals can be very effectively achieved if the workers are self led and make use of their artistry with minimum supervision. To enhance self leadership qualities among the employees, the authority should offer them a few responsibilities to boost up their confidence in taking responsibilities and enhance their self leadership qualities. Self leadership is not just important for new comers or low level subordinates but is equally important for the entire management. Employees holding a high position in a firm or involved in management position requires enhancing their leadership qualities more than a low level employee as they possess a supervisory role concerning the employees who work under them (Boyce, Zaccarosss and Wisecarver 2010, 159-178). The independence of the workforce should be more belaboured in order to support them to grow on personal level as well as on the professional level. By achieving individual career growth, the person automatically concocts the workers to get a probable promotion. Self led staffs are equipped with optimism which contributes to bring positive results to workplace and to achieve organizational goals. Self Leadership Strategies Self leadership involves self motivation and developing personal uplifting strategies to deliver desired results. To authenticate self leadership qualities, few self improvement strategies are to be undertaken such as; nurturing inner energy that is understanding what he is and what he aspires to be, come up with a serious manifestation. Some time should be devoted in getting a deep view of our areas of excellence and what hinders him in achieving excellence, inquire about feedback. Some people might have a risky feeling about receiving a feedback. It can give out surprising results as instead of finding threats in a person they may observe the inbuilt capabilities in them. Public can equip them with some strategies to cope up with their weaknesses while enhancing their capabilities, time needs to be shrewdly invested. One who is self led knows shrewdly investing in time. By chalking out the outcomes in mind they need to plan the path to achieve goals, comradely come forward to take up challenges. A person needs to be equipped with self confidence in order to spawn blooming self leadership (Zhang and Bartol 2010, 107-128). A person can overcome trepidation of uncertainties and feelings of doubt by taking up as many challenges as we can which helps us in getting relaxed with it. Sometimes things turn out to be different and do not match our expectations. Occurrence of such things makes us realize that it can be riddled and such perceptive will make people keener to take reasonable risks. This will in addition enhance decision making and problem solving clouts in them. Skills Required to be Self Led According to research done by Liu, Jiayan and Shi (2010), self leadership is an art of leading one and brings them more active. Some of the essential traits that should be possessed by a self led person are: A self led person is much aware of his personality, ability, weaknesses and strengths, should acquire an inbuilt leadership skill to take up responsibility and being brave enough to take up responsibilities for one and for others as well. (Nixon, Harrington and Parker 2012, 204-216).We should be aware of not overusing that strength when situation demands to take responsibilities of other responsible adults and should be brave enough to just uplift them and motivate them to become self led. He should be focused on what he commits to do that is being clear about what we consign to do and there is no requirement of second attention over what they committed. They should possess skill of rapport building that is ability to observe and gain experience from another’s position and emotionally bonding with every staff. Relevance for Project Managers According to a survey carried out by Ernst and Young, 80% of the reason behind the failure of a project is related to people issues when the managers fail to lead themselves towards their goal enthusiastically. Project managers are considered to be at the ganglion when it comes to a firm’s strategy execution. A firm’s project management skill is a determinant of its triumph or letdown in the marketplace. As indicated by Müller and Turner (2010) in their research work entitled "Leadership competency profiles of successful project managers", leadership happens to be a body of knowledge that provides direction towards meeting organizational goals (Vaccaro, et al. 2012, 28-51). A few factors that hinders a project managers self leading capabilities are; bitternings and finger pointing repeatedly, a giving up attitude, negative attitude towards problems, lack of sensibility towards objective and many more. Self leadership is relevant for project managers as they are in charge of leading teams who are responsible to generate efficient results in order to satisfy the outlook of stakeholders. Organizations look forward to the project managers to develop their self leadership skills by mastering the process of project management that includes; scheduling, administrating, organizing, and forecasting as supervising projects proves to be among the most exigent tasks of a firm. Based on research it can be sated that how a team perform and satisfy clients is directly related to a project manager’s emotional intelligence. If a project manager improves his self leadership qualities, accordingly the team member’s performance will amplify and in return performance of the project also improves. Conclusion It is recommended to invest more than as much percent of an individual’s leadership imperial into the mission of self leading. By getting an in depth view of the concepts of self leadership, it seems to lay bare the Meta psychology of psychoanalysis to a farthest level. Self leading is all about setting direction and clinching that one move towards the intended direction. Self leadership is considered necessary in today’s complex working environment in array to generate successful leaders in an organization and also to improve personality of an individual. The path to be an exceptional leader goes through leading oneself. The one who is self led can effectively lead subordinates under him. Evidence proved that an individual’s characteristics in addition to some external factors impacts upon the learning results. The objective of self leadership is to enable people to face challenges by undertaking self improvement. Experts hypothesize that self leadership takes a central part in one’s personal development .Situational self leadership teaches an individual to serve proactively to a firm. The strategies to be undertaken for enhancing self leadership depends upon the circumstances, variations in perceptions and on the character and demand of those caught up. More innovative ways should be developed to master self leadership. Self leadership as per discussed above is hence essential to achieve harmony and within internal system, to effectively approach towards being a leader by inspiring themselves.
