The paper “Managing Projects for Major Player in the Airline Industry” is an affecting example of a management business plan. The company that is a major player in the airline industry has been experiencing a decline in performance for the past two years. This has led the company’s new Chief Executive to decide to embark on a massive Continuous Improvement Program coupled with service process engineering which has resulted in departments being merged with process and job rationalizations.

To achieve the improvement program the company sought our expertise as a management consultant. After assessment of the situation, the first action is to devise a project plan that ensures achievement of consultancy evaluation outcome. To prepare this plan the company mandated our consultancy firm to implement the deliverables that were identified. The project plan entails training their employees and helps them to solve some issues in the organization. Provide a plan for them showing strategies to improve the identified issues and increase the quality in the organization.

Project ObjectivesThe objective of the plan is to ensure cooperation and positive team dynamics for the efficient functioning of the CFO. Implement this success criterion involves staff get to outline their concerns and are allowed to contribute to the solutions. The second objective is to ensure that there is a more constructive culture within the CFO department within the next 18 months. The success criteria for this objective are the achievement of evidence of more cooperation and positive teamwork and increased efficiency.

Project ScopeThe project includes the following:Identifying and confirming the current issues; was done by a team of consultants from our organization. Issues identified were no single culture of work that staff could identify with, no positive team dynamics, insecurity of job roles, no sense of ownership of job roles, no clear process of conflict resolution, no set of common targets, no sense of being valued, staff feels highly stressed and uncertainty of long term employment prospects. In brief, the work condition or environment within the department is unfriendly and needs transformation.
