The onset of the operations management can be traced back to the periods of the cultural transformations in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries during the period when the industrial revolution occurred, the period of Waltham – Lowell system and the period of the American manufacturing system (Frazier & Norman 2002, pg. 87).British Airways is a form of any other business in any organization that has operation functions that are concerned with service provision and the operations procedures and methodologies for the service provider to the customers.

It is therefore faced with challenges and economic problems like other business entities and in recent times, the company is facing some operation management problems in its operations and this has made the company undergo some strategic changes within its department.
