The paper “Ford Motors - Analysis of Performances, Prospects in Globalisation, CSR and Environmental Issues” is an intriguing example of the management case study. Management decisions and policies provide oxygen to an organization in terms of sustainability and competitive advantage. The implications of the past decades have brought about a greater change within the organizational context. The emergence of the latest trends and methodologies such as globalization, technological advancement, and outsourcing frame the vital constituents of the modern business scenario.

As compared to the traditional organizational scenarios, the present picture reveals flatten organization systems. This has facilitated the path of a new management style, which depicts flexibility and efficiency. With regard to the present-day context, organizations are becoming more customer-oriented. Management decisions along with new policies and strategies usually are formulated with the aim of propagating customer satisfaction. The present rapidly changing business environment has created immense pressure over the modern management to continually develop and grow their competencies to achieve sustainability within the competitive global scenario (Manninen & Viitala, 2007).

Management competencies and relative knowledge are vital sources of competitive advantage. Competencies are derived from the sustained performance of an organization in keeping with varying governing regulations specified in the industry of operations. Core competencies of the management provide a new height to the organization. Management approaches entail various techniques to be adapted in procuring effective management policies (Yarker & et. al., 2007). Management competency as an integral constituent is primarily applied in various fields such as globalization, environmental issues, social change, and technology among others.

Managing for the future bestows significant consideration for an organization on these determinants in order to ensure that it is able to address the varying needs successfully. This study primarily intends to discuss the implementation of management competencies of Ford Motor Company in the fields of globalization, environmental issues, and corporate social responsibility especially with regard to the future decade context based on an evaluation of the past 7-10 years performance.
