Management Team: Organization and Management team: Eztranslation has four departments, each with adifferent role to play in meeting the objectives of the business enterprise. At the top of the management structure is the office of the Chief executive officer. This office is held by Bryan Knowles. Bryan is the founder and owner of the business establishment. His role includes the supervision of junior staff below him, chairing managerial meetings, and developing business policies that the organization ought to follow. Mr. Knowles is a business graduate with an MBA degree, and he got the idea of developing translation software after working with the Blank Company. On this basis therefore, Mr. Knowles formed the eztranslation company. Mr. Knowles has the assistance of two vice presidents, that is the vice president in charge of programing, and another one who is in charge of operations. Tom Connelly is the officer in charge of operations. Mr. Connelly has a degree in operations and supply chain management. He also has a master’s degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University. The role of Mr. Connelly is basically to market the services of the organization. His department is the most important part of the organization, and this is because the department defines the operations of the business. The department of operations identifies the methods of using the technology in question, for purposes of making a profit (Barrow and Paul, 13). The department of operations evaluates the market opportunities available for the company, and identifies the type of service that the company ought to provide in order to exploit the opportunities presented. Mr. Hasham Alderwood is the man in charge of programming. This is a technical department that has the responsibility of developing the software that has the capability of translating languages. This department works hand in hand with the department of operations to identify the needs of the market, and develop software that has the capability of catering for such kind of needs (Cobb, 22). This department designs, and programs the translation software in a manner that will satisfy the needs of the organizations customers. The department of programming must also work with the department of operations for purposes of developing the product and maintenance plan of the software. The department of programming has two key members of stars, and they are highly knowledgeable on all software engineering and management. These people are Mr. Tony Wilson, and Mr. Henry Root. Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, with a master’s degree in Computer science. Mr. Root on the other hand is a graduate of Pennstate University, with a master’s degree in Computer science. Mr. Root, and Mr. Tony are highly skilled in computer programming, and it is through their efforts that the company managed to develop the translation software for Eztranslation Company. Management Compensation and Ownership: The organization offers a lucrative salary to the key members of its staff. This includes the Chief executive office, the two vice presidents, and the two programming officers. For instance, The Chief Executive Officers will be entitled to a monthly salary of 5000 dollars, and a commuter allowance as it shall be set up by the board. This allowance should not be below 2500 dollars. The two vice presidents should receive a monthly salary of 4500 dollars, plus a commuter allowance which the board of directors shall decide. This allowance should not be below 2500 dollars. The two programing officers should each receive a monthly salary of 3000 dollars, with a commuter allowance that the board shall approve. However, their commuter allowances should not fall under 2000 dollars, and should not be above 3000 dollars. These people are also the brain behind the formation of the business enterprise, and because of this, they must own a large percentage of the company’s shares. For instance, the Chief Executive officer must control 25% of the company’s shares. This is because the idea of starting the business came from him, and it is through his leadership that the business organization is thriving. The two vice presidents should also have a substantial share ownership of the company. Each should get an approximate number of 12% of the total shares offered by the company. This is because of their contribution to the company, both technically, and financially. The two program officers should also benefit from the company because of the services they offer. It is prudent to award each of them with 5% of the total shares belonging to the company. This will also act as a motivation for these people to work harder for the company, because they will enjoy the benefits of a being a shareholder in the company. That is they will have a right of claiming dividends that arise from the companies’ profits. Investors, Employment and other agreements, Shareholders: The organization will seek the goodwill of likeminded business entrepreneurs to invest in the company. This people will take the remaining 41% of the company’s shares. The organization specifically encourages large software companies to invest in the company, since establishing a partnership will be an effective way of ensuring the growth of the company. Companies under target are, Google, Microsoft, or even banking institutions. These organizations can fund the initiatives of the company, in exchange of some substantial shares of the company. The main people that the organization ought to employ are the sales people. Their responsibility will be to sell the software products of the company. They will have the responsibility of interacting with customers, and negotiating business deals. These people will also have the responsibility of training the customers on how to use the software, and any other services related to the customer might request. On this basis, these employees are also an important element of the organization, and they will operate under the department of operations. It is also within the interest of the company to give out bonuses to members of its staff. However, whatever is paid in terms of bonuses must be as a result of the company making more than the projected profit. The amount paid in terms of bonuses should be 15% of the profits accumulated. For example if the target of the company is to make a profit of 125, 000 dollars, and they make 15t0,000 dollars, then the bonus to be paid to its employees will be 15% of the 150,000 dollars. Board of directors, shareholders and supporting advisors: Members of the board will compromise of a representative of the largest shareholder of the business organization, the chief executive officer, and his two deputies. The company will always seek the services of external auditor for financial and managerial advice. Sustainability and Impact: Issues of the sustainability of the venture: To sustain the venture, the company intends to create a culture of innovation. Innovation is an important element of a successful business organization. In our point of view, there are two types of innovations, namely sustaining innovation, and disruptive innovation (Weske, 27). Under sustaining innovation, programmers of computer software improve the functionality of the software, to reflect the needs of the market. Under disruptive innovation, new markets are created by the company. This is by using the technology under their possession to identify the various needs within the market place. Basing on this background information regarding innovation, the company seeks to satisfy the needs of the market in relation to translation services. This is by developing a software that has the capability of translating any language they want. Programmers of the company will constantly improve on the capability of the software, in order to ensure that it is effective in meeting the objectives of the company (Wohlin, 32). Another strategy of sustaining the business operation is ploughing back some of the profits that the business makes in order to expand the market operations of the business. The company will use this money to identify new markets, and open branches in other parts of the country for purposes of expansion. Another issue is to engage in a joint venture with like-minded companies (Weske, 32). For instance, the company needs to look out for other companies, who can allow it to use their facilities for purposes trade. This collaboration must be mutual, in that the other company must also benefit from the facilities and services eztranslation offers. Impact on the Environment, community and nation: The company will provide employment opportunity to the surrounding community where its operations are based. This is beneficial to the community, because children of the inhabitants will have a source of income. To the nation, the company will be at the forefront of paying taxes, and fulfilling its other financial obligations as set forth by the various laws governing the operations of a software company. On this basis therefore, there will be an increase to the revenue base of the country. Environmental conservation is an important objective of the company, and on this basis, the company seeks to initiate measures that will ensure its services and products do not have a negative impact on the environment. It seeks to develop a translation software, with a mind on how it would affect the environment. Overall Schedule: Generally, the management team will have the duties of developing a policy, and supervising its implementation. Before coming up with a policy, the management team must gain the approval of the board of directors. The business will also need a huge capital base, for purposes of sustaining its operations, and such, it there must be policies that will attract people to invest in its operations (Cobb, 34). The investors that the business should target are, banking organizations, and huge software companies. This is because they have the money that the business can use to fund its operations. Finally, creating a good working relationship with the community around which the organization does its business is important. The most effective way of creating this kind of relationship is by employing people who reside within the community. By doing this, the company will manage to create a good working relationship, built on trust and honesty. Critical risks, problems, and assumptions: One of the major risks that the company faces is uncertainty over the reception of the technology the company intends to offer. The eztranslation technology is a new product in the market, and the company management is not sure on how people will react to its introduction. On this basis therefore, the company risks losing some large amount of its capital, in case the product fails to capture the market. The main problem that the company might faceis the large startup cost, associated with developing new software to carter for the needs of the market. It is expensive to create a software, and on this basis, the company will require some funding from its partners/ investors. The main assumption that that comes with this venture is that business establishments do not need human interpreters. On this basis therefore, there is a need of developing a software that will satisfy the needs of these business establishments in regard to provision of software services.
