Challenges of Groups and Teams In order to be able to achieve the desired net profit within the company, there is need for training to be conducted on all team players within the company, on how to improve on the overall service performance to customers. Thus, in attempting to put down an effective training manual, a number of factors have to be considered. Each individual has a specific task, as a team player within the company, and which is further emphasized by Ritcher &Hacker (1998), who note that, the overall goal is achieved only through commitment to individual work.

Putting this into focus will enable one to come up with a training manual that relevantly communicates to each individual within the company, in spite of their line of duty. Use of a communication style that is easily understood by all individuals across all the areas of the organization will go a long way in ensuring the success of the training plan. Further, in drawing up a training manual for all individuals within the company, it will be of great benefit to consider protocol, which exists within the organization among the team players and which also, according to Paige (2008), addressing individuals in their respective titles will ensure that the training gains more significance to each individual, in spite of the position that they hold within the company and an overall improvement in teamwork accuracy.

In addition to this, putting into focus the difference in personalities of the individual employees will also be of much benefit in trying to draw a training outline. This will enable one to put into consideration the abilities of each of the expected participants, to contribute to the overall desired results. This will enable one to consider employees who need to concentrate more on the training, in order to enable them to be team players in the overall activity. According to Cardona and Wilkinson (2010), this will also enable the employees practice interdependence while at the same time keeping in mind the achievement of the desired goal.

Moreover, one should put special consideration in their communication style. Avoiding the usage of jargon from one’s own professional line of duty, will enable them to effectively communicate with all the intended participants. 2 After being able to establish efficient communication within the organization, the next step will be getting the employees to work together as a team, so as to achieve the desired results. Team playing will result to success in the training in the following ways: Group collaboration will enable the leading individuals in the different departments within the organization to grant time to the employees under them, and which will be necessary for the conducting of the training (Paige, 2008).

After seeing the need of conducting the training within the organization, they will be more confident to commit time, as a resource, on it. Furthermore, the employees will be more willing to assist each other in handling difficult sections of the training (Cardona and Wilkinson, 2010). Individuals who consider certain areas of the training to be hard to tackle will be able, through teamwork, to consult with their fellow work mates, who find the material within the training content to be easy to grasp.

In the case of handling practical cases during the training session, employees will assist each other in the handling of difficult tasks. For example when presented with the task of handling an otherwise difficult customer, the employees will assist each other in not only being able to handle the customer but also go an extra mile and make the most out of the situation by persuading them into business. Thus, it is possible to come up with a training outline to be conducted on the employees after considering the above mentioned factors.
