They are used to facing difficulties with respect to fragmented life style, high stress due to employment and low morale. The primary care taking organisations are unable to address the requirement of these homeless people and as a result they face higher level of frustrations and unmet requirements. Aim of the Project Therefore, the ‘Employment Project’ aims to improve the lifestyle of the long term homeless people in London. The purposes of this project are: To raise the lifestyle of people To develop a stable lifestyle To raise the self-esteem and to inspire them towards healthy lifestyle To enable people to find suitable jobs Scope The project will introduce methods for maintaining healthy lifestyle and helping people to learn how to manage and to organise their tasks so that it becomes easy for them to accomplish the objectives and maintain a balance between professional life as well as personal life. Further, the scope of this project is to inspire the long term homeless people about how they can live in a better way. Objectives The employment project will seek to achieve the following objectives for the long term homeless people: Deliver information and assistance on housing and relocation Provide training on the fundamental employment skills and knowledge Support for suitable placement and employment Advice to maintain healthy lifestyle Planning The project will be divided into ten activities which are: Activity One: Approval for the Project: At first, there is a need to get proper approval for initiating the “Employment Project” from university commission as well as other navigation committees. Pamphlets will be developed by providing general information about the project such as aims, objectives, scopes and plans. Activity Two: Assigning Project Advisor: A project requires good advisor who can perform regular activities of the project such as maintain connection with team members and other personnel, plan tasks and direct research among others. Activity Three: Recognising Interested Members: In order to add value to the project, the interested parties such as unions or non-government organisations need to be identified which can assist in conducting research and other activities related to the project. Activity Four: Conducting Meeting: After identifying the key parties that want to be involved in the project, a meeting will be arranged to develop further project plan and scope. Activity Five: Conducting Preliminary Research: In order to obtain up-to-date information, a research will be conducted on preliminary level by recognising every requirement regarding project completion. The research will provide detailed information about employment opportunities, housing prospects and health care issues concerning long term homeless people. Activity Six: Developing Action Plan: After gathering all information about project requirement, there is need to develop an action plan which includes new creativities, planners and tools required for the project. Activity Seven: Developing Website: A website will be developed which will provide information about project related issues, facilities provided to the people and guidance for resolving employment problems. The website will also help to gather information regarding any queries. Activity Eight: Conducting Workshop: Workshop will be conducted in order to present the research, state the services to be delivered and describe the criteria that will be used for measuring progress among others. The workshop will stimulate the people for taking healthy habits and seek to resolve the problems of housing and unemployment. Activity Nine: Promoting Employment Project: Finally, the project will be promoted through presentation, and series of events. People will be provided training in those events to enhance their skills and knowledge in their respective educational field. Activity Ten: Project Review: At the completion of the project, the outcome will be reviewed where all parties who are engaged in the project will share the challenges, performances and achievements. A report will be generated for finding out the outcome of all the events and will be issued on the website. Task 2: Evaluation Time Management The purpose of time management is to achieve every task on the right time and balance all aspects of life style. In today’s busy world, people need to do many tasks in a day and most of the time they are busy in performing their professional or academic works. Though work can help to earn money which helps to live better life, other tasks apart from work need to be managed properly because life is more than just work. Besides the usual work, entertainment, family, friends, relationships and health among others also play vital parts in life style of a person that need to be managed properly. As people progress in career, their responsibilities also increase gradually along with the working time, which can impact on the equilibrium position of life style. Therefore, it becomes quite significant for individuals to better balance the work life as well as personal life. Better time management requires for appropriate attention to every work whether personal or professional. The first step towards managing time is right identification of work. The importance of work varies from one work to the other. Only a person can understand his preferences of works and limitations for accomplishing them. There is no appropriate or inappropriate way of working; only what matters is the sequence of completing the work. In order to manage time for work, a chart can be developed for tasks and status of completion can be recorded. There are several technical gadgets available nowadays which can help to make a list of tasks by avoiding traditional pen and paper method. The second aspect for time management is to set the goals. In order to successfully progress towards completion of work there must be specific goals which can help to understand if the provided effort is satisfactory or not, or if there is a need to devote more time on a particular task. The goal must be explicit, assessable, attainable, realistic, and time bound. Better time management calls for developing good habits and discarding bad habits. It can help to recognise the perfect utilisation of time and to set goals for achieving them. For instance, I avoid sleeping after 6 am at morning which gives me enough time to perform and to manage all of my tasks. Besides, I am also much regular about my habits and always try to conduct same tasks at similar time every day. In order to obtain better lifestyle, list of different aspects of life (which include money, health, relationship and career among others) can be developed and scored according to completion. A lower score in any aspect can indicate need for higher attention. Using the time efficiently and organising the work properly can help to make lifestyle much easier. The most significant tools for allocating time or organising work is to create note in a diary or in other electronic media about the duties. Finally, in order to avoid omission of daily tasks, automatic reminder can be set. Tools such as electronic calendaring system, Microsoft Excel or Outlook and cell phone among others can be useful to stay up-to-date with the tasks and to manage them appropriately. Time and effort are two key aspects for better balance of professional life and personal life and is essential for better life style (Evans, 2011). Task 3: Essay Stress Management Stress is a universal concern for every person as well as organisation. Stress can influence on the performance of people in several ways. The high stress can lead to increased absenteeism, job oriented accidents, higher turnover and low morale weakened decision making among others that in turn reduce the productivity. On the positive side, stress can also provide potential gains such as high motivation to increase performance level and to perform at maximum level which can inevitably raise the productivity (Subbulaxmi, 2002). Stress can be displayed in human body through several forms such as headache, high body temperature, increased blood pressure and reduced desire for nutrition among others. The psychological indications of stress are higher job frustration, increased tension, nervousness, tediousness and trouble in making regular decisions among others. The major reasons for stress arrive from education, work pressure, family problems and improper time management. In order to deal with stress and work through it, an individual needs to manage it in an appropriate way. The management of stress begins with recognising the reason for it. The apt starting point is assessing the deficiencies of own habits, behaviours, approaches and excuses. Until the obligation is acknowledged, the stress level will remain beyond control. After identifying the causes of stress, the next step is to think about the tactics to reduce it. At times, the solution for managing stress is much easy and at times it might be quite challenging. Through brainstorming method the disturbing aspect of stress can be minimised. It can also be diminished by better management of time, planning career and shifting jobs among others (Smith, 2011). Poor management of time is a major cause for stress. In order to manage time one can develop a regular list of events, ordering them according to significance and scheduling them with respect to urgency. Recognising daily tasks and planning to accomplish the most challenging of them can help to organise life appropriately, and as a result can reduce the stress with increased performance. Using harmful methods to deal with the stress such as smoking; drinking, underestimating himself and retreating himself from friends and families among others not only worsens the situation but also puts bad impact on health. Instead, asking for assistance from the family and the friends is a much useful technique to deal with stress. Expression of feeling is significant; otherwise the difficult situation will not change (Subbulaxmi, 2002). Every stress cannot be avoided, but with proper management it can be transformed. This transformation comprises shifting the techniques of communication and processes of regular activities. If the transformation is not possible, then one must adapt with the stressful circumstances and recapture the intelligence by shifting the anticipations and attitude. The best method to deal with inevitable stress is to accept it rather than complaining against it. Adopting a healthy lifestyle is quite effective for managing daily stress.
